Chapter 3: Welcome to Duel Academy

[The school year has started and each class is eating at their respective house. Playmaker heads over to the Obelisk Blue dorm. Playmaker was bombarded with questions from everyone and challenged to duels. Alexis walks over with her friends Grace and Gloria]

Alexis: Everyone, leave him alone. It's his first day.

Gloria: You better leave.

Grace: Or you'll have to deal with the three of us!

[The crowd disperses]

Playmaker: Thanks.

Alexis: No problem. Your dorm is like your family so we need to watch out for each other.

Gloria: Trust us. We'll take good care of you.

Playmaker: Okay?

Alexis: Gloria, you're scaring him.

Gloria: I'm sorry. I'm just excited to meet someone who beat Crowler in one turn.

Grace: I have to agree with you there.

[Playmaker walks away]

Alexis: What is it with you two?

Grace: Come on, Alexis. Don't pretend that you don't want to ask him out.

Alexis: I've only just met him.

Gloria: Well you better hurry or we'll take him from you.

Grace: Anyway, we're going to follow him.

Alexis: You're so weird. What if you get caught?

Gloria: We won't.

[The Tyler sisters follow Playmaker close behind. Playmaker is stopped in the hall by three boys. Among them was Chazz Princeton]

Chazz: So, you're the newbie who beat Crowler in one turn. I challenge you to a duel.

Playmaker: Don't waste my time. If I beat a professor then what makes you think that you'll beat me?

Chazz: I will beat you. I saw you talking to Alexis and the Tyler sisters. They're way out of your league so you better back off.

Playmaker: Are you saying that you're better for them?

Chazz: Exactly.

Playmaker: Well, in that case I accept your duel. I don't appreciate it when girls are treated as trophies. So, I'll be glad to put you in your place.

Chazz: Well, let's head to the arena then.

[Chazz and his friends lead Playmaker to the duel arena]

Grace: We better tell Alexis.

Gloria: Yes. We need to warn him. He's such a sweet guy to duel on our behalf.

Grace: Makes me want him even more!

[Playmaker and Chazz prepare to face off in the duel arena]

Chazz: Last chance to back out, Newbie.

Playmaker: That's my line.

Chazz: I gave you an out!

Playmaker: Get set to get your game on.

Chazz: You can go first, Newbie.
