The Sauna Test

Jessica was at Scoops Ahoy hanging out with Robin, and Steve and Dustin went to (for them) an unknown location. Steve and Dustin were shopping at a Kay Jewelers too look for something that neither of them knew what to specifically get; an engagement ring.

"When are you going to ask her?" Dustin asked

"Whenever this shit is over man, I hope it's soon each day thinking about just makes me want to back out." Steve said pacing around

"Size 8 thing correct?" The jeweler asked

"Yeah." Steve said

"How about this one? It's in your price range, just under actually." The jeweler said grabbing a ring out of the case and showing it to the two boys "it's a fourteen karat white gold and diamond ring."

"Henderson?" Steve asked starting to bite his fingernails

"I like it, and she will too." Dustin said "we'll take it."

Steve handed the man his credit card and the man handed him a small black velvet box with the delicate ring in it. As the two walked out of the store Steve prayed that this would end soon, because he couldn't wait to spend the rest of his life with his best friend, the love of his life.

"Jess, you sure you're fine? If not I can call Jonathan or Nancy to come and get you." Steve said

"I'm fine Steve, it's probably nothing, besides Joyce hasn't called me so it's probably just a morning sickness thing." Jessica smiled

"Morning sickness, isn't that what you get when you're pregnant?" Dustin asked

Steve and Jessica looked at each other with wide eyes, they weren't planning on telling anyone about the pregnancy until later, not even telling their parents let alone Dustin.

"Yeah." Jessica mumbled

"Oh my god! Oh my god! Congratulations you two!" Dustin grinned as he embraced the two in a tight hug

"Thanks Henderson." Steve said

"Jess, you sure you're fine? You said you felt like someone was in danger." Steve asked

"Yes Steve, I'm fine." Jessica said "if it happens again I'll go to the Byers."

"Thank you." Steve smiled hugging her "I love you."

"Dustin, what did you see?" Robin asked

"Right, that keycard opens the door, unfortunately the Russian with this keycard also has a massive gun." Dustin said "what's ever in this room, in those boxes, they don't want anyone finding it."

"But there's got to be a way in." Robin said

"Well you know, I could just take him out." Steve said in a serious tone

"Take who out?" Robin asked

"The Russian guard." Steve said "I sneak up behind him, knock him out and take his keycard. It's easy."
