Blood, so much blood, and all of it mine.

My hands were tied behind my back, I was on my knees, leaning back on the wall behind me. I scanned the cell I was held in for the umpteenth time. It all happened a while back, how long ago? I don't know, but it was all a result of my reckless actions.

I was on a mission, accompanied by a few other blades. The mission was meant to be an information gathering one. But of course, things went wrong, forcing us into battle. We had already taken down more than half of the security bots, when the ship suddenly started shaking violently. The ship tilted sideways causing me along with the bots and the other blades to slam into the wall.

Explosion after explosion shook the ship. The other blades and I attempting to flee, but before we could make a move we were slammed back against the wall by another wave of explosions.  Bots began to flood in, we had tried fighting back, but there were too many. We kept fighting, until one of the blades were taken down. Their right leg seeping crimson, I knew that very moment that this was a losing battle.

A plan, we need a plan

I took down a few more bots before I looking back at my comrades, it's the only way, not thinking twice, I rushed towards where the other blades were fighting. I took down one bot after the other, clearing a path.

"Go! Now!" I commanded, they stood frozen for a moment before hesitantly doing as told.

"What about you?" One of them questioned, carrying the injured blade over their shoulder.

"Forget about me, I'll be fine." I replied, turning back to face the enemy.

As I continued to push my body past its limits, I heard the fading footsteps of my comrades. It wasn't until I felt sure they were far enough, I slammed on the red glowing button attached to the wall. The air hatch (I think that's what they're called) opened, the bots being quickly sucked into the endless void of space. Before I could get pulled in with them, I took ahold of the edge of a pillar that stood next to the hatch. Mustering up all my strength I pulled myself over it.

I had almost made it onto the other side, but I didn't make it. The hatch had been closed, slamming me on the ground, my head hitting the ground hard. I struggled to get up, only managing to get on all fours before hearing an entourage of footsteps approaching at an alarming rate.
I needed to figure out how to escape, but I wasn't given enough time.

"Red paladin" I turned up to look at the source of the voice, being met with the hooded figure of the infamous witch, Haggar...

I stared at her, staying silent. I wanted to get up and take her down, but my body was sore and weak. What was she going to do?

She turned to face her small army of druids before commanding them to capture me.

The druids quickly approached, not wanting to be grabbed, I feebly swung my luxite sword in a futile attempt to fight back. One of them took ahold of my head before slamming it onto the ground. I held back the noises that attempted to escape, when I felt a warm liquid flood from my now broken nose. They held my arms down behind my back. My head was held down, my cheek pressed against the cold ground. My vision began to blur.

"Is this how I die?" I thought before completely losing consciousness.

I awoke to complete darkness. I was leaning against what I was sure was a wall. My arms were held above my head by a set of cuffs. Memories of earlier events flooded my mind. My body was in pain, remnants of dried blood sticking to my nose. I sat there in complete silence, drowning in my thoughts.

I was captured. The blades must think I'm dead, and even if they didn't, they wouldn't risk coming to my rescue. What about voltron? No, they have more pressing matters to attend to. I'm not needed on the team anymore. Would they even know I'm gone? Would the blades tell them?
