Jilliane was so silent while they were on the road. She is looking secretly at Roger and yet she still looking at the surroundings while the latter is busy driving."Hey...why are you silent?" Roger asked her breaking the silence.
"And what do you want me to say?" She replied.
"Well I just not being used to see you silent... By the way where we will going to eat?" Roger asked.
"Anywhere..." She replied. "As long as I'm with you!" She said on her mind.
"Alright... Do you like Lancashire hotpot?" Roger asked.
"Yes... I like it!" Jilliane smiled while looking at the road.
"How about Roast Chicken?" Roger asked.
"Oh...i like it too! Especially if it has mashed potatoes or fries..." She smiled again like a child.
"How about fish and chips!" Roger asked.
"Oh...i love that too!" Jilliane said again.
"Hey! Is there any food you didn't like?" Roger asked.
"None! I love eating and I can eat anything! Especially Macaroni Cheese!" Jilliane replied still smiling like a child.
"No wonder why you even eat left overs which seem like a "dog food" !" He said to her.
"What?" Jilliane asked with a bit annoyance. "It's not dog food it's Korean Bibimbap".
"Naaah! Wether you say it's a Korean food or something...for me it is still a dog food".
"It's just you don't know foreign cuisines ... " She said.
Roger didn't say anything anymore but only gave her his smile. And drive the car. And she didn't said anything also but rolled her eyes and looked at the window again. They went to a nice restaurant which the specialty is Roasted Beef with Lancashire hotpot. As they arrived, the waiter gave them a seat for two. Roger gave Jilliane her seat. And he sat in front of her.
She felt her heart was beating so fast again...and she feel she cannot stand in front of Roger. She was really shy. Roger's presence really invades her. He is so handsome that night, causing her to think she wants to take him back to their house and make love with him all through the night. But it's very IMPOSSIBLE! He doesn't have feelings for her and that is a painful reality. She looked down and stared the table for she doesn't really know what to do. She only came back on her mind when Roger snapped on her face.
"Hey! You're out of this world again!" He said.
"Oh!...sorry..." She said. Still having her cheeks so red. Roger became a bit confused abd looked at her.
"You're ok?" Roger asked. "You're face is like cherries! It wasn't hot here!" He added.
"Oh!...no... I ...mean...Yes...yes... I'm ok... Don't mind me..." She said. She took the table napkin and put it on his lap.
"Weird girl..." Roger said to himself and took the menu to choose what to eat.
"What is your order?... Madam?" The waiter asked.
"Oh...I-" she opened the restaurant menu and she was shocked on the price of the food. And she lean to Roger to whisper.
"Hey! Roger!" She said to him on a whisper.
"What?" He asked.
"Are you sure that we will eat in this restaurant?" She asked.
"Yeah...why?"
"I know a Macaroni Cheese restaurant nearby... You will enjoy it..and it was more convenient" she said in whisper.
"Naah! We're already here... Maybe next time..." Roger said.
"...ok..." She said and continued to look at the menu.
"Do you have Angus steak here?" Roger asked the waiter.
"Yes sir... " The waiter replied.
"Give me one... How about you Jilliane have you already choose yours?" Roger asked.
"I cannot choose..." She replied.
"Ok... I'll be the one... Make the Angus steak two...and gave us your most special pudding...and... White wine for us..." He said to the waiter.
"Yes sir... Just wait for a while..." The waiter said and went away.
"I guarantee you... Angus Steak is really good. It's my favorite" Roger said smiling to her.
She just only looked at him and didn't said a word. She still feel nervous. She look around and she saw some girls staring at them. But she know that they are not staring at her, but they are staring to the guy who was with her tonight and having a dinner with her. She even hear their whispers like... "God he is so gorgeous!" "I want him!" "Who is he? He's so fuckin' hot!" "My God, he's so handsome!" "Wish I was the girl!" " That girl is lucky" "Is that girl his girlfriend?" and some more remarks that made her feel uncomfortable.
"Roger... Did you hear them? We are their conversation subject.." She asked Roger in a whisper.
"Yes...I hear them.... don't mind them!"
Jilliane didn't said any word as their dinner came. She thought that this girls were right. Roger is extremely physically and sexually attracted. And he is not giving any effort on it. He is really a what you will call "Sex on Legs".
Roger was used to hear praises like what this girls are saying. All are the same wherever he goes. That is why it is not hard for him to pick a girl he wants to have for his satisfaction. For him, they are all equal and the same. Drooling over him like a crazy. But he wonder why the girl who was in front of him right now having a dinner didn't feel the same way like this girls are. For him, she is really different! And he wonder what kind of guy might caught her attention. Oh! He nearly forgot! A guy that may caught her attention was like his band mate or his exact band mate himself John Richard Deacon. But He was really puzzled to this girl who was still a stranger to him until now, wether they known each other for couple of months since they get married. All he know is that she was his complete opposite which he really find it very boring! An orthodox... class, and a fuckin' conservative cloister nun! And he feel he cannot stand this kind of girl overnight. But he also feel on his other side that she really reminds him of his childhood friend way back 20 years ago in King's Lynn. He cannot already remember her face anymore for he had spend half of his life in Cornwall. But their similarities are only sort of bonus. Jilliane is still different from his childhood friend. She is still a different person. And now he wonder, where is his childhood friend now?...
