Chapter 46: Rockfield Studios (part 1)

Now it's been  4 months since Roger left their house to do their new album entitled "A Night At the Opera". And she had been used to it now. She is doing her everyday routine with new inspirations for her manuscripts. And because of her inspiration, and it was Roger. She knows he is doing well on their album. They were now at the Rockfield Studios in Wales and doing the recording. She believes that their album will bear fruit, for they are truly well dedicated to it.

It was Morning, and she is looking at their wedding portrait. She was really amazed to see it,even though it was all unreal. And she felt a bit lonely to think of it, how she only wish that it was all true and their feelings are real. She always looks at it everyday so that she will not miss Roger that much. As she was looking at it, the phone rang and she rush to take up the phone. My! She always wait for it, thinking that it would be Roger.

"Hello Roger?" She asked.

"Hey! It's me Liezel!.." Said on the line.

She became saddened thought that call is from Roger.

"... You're waiting for his call right?" Liezel said to her teasingly.

"...Nno!... I just... Thought it was him" she lied.

"Oh come on Jilliane! Jerry and I known you ever since High school!"

"Are you teasing me? I just thought he is calling!" She denied again.

"...Really? But why i hear your heart beating fast right now?!" Liezel said.

"...wwhat?!" She replied. And Liezel was right! Her heart is beating fast.

Liezel laughed. She really knows her friend well.

"Your heart beats like a drum...like a drum.. drum, drum, drum, drum, drum drum .." Liezel teased her through a song.

"Stop it Lizzy! You're so-" she said but cannot continue her words for she was really caught now. Even only Liezel talks to her, she felt her cheeks were hot again.

"Come on baby girl! You cannot deny now! I know you're blushing! Roger already banged your heart like a drum! You are in love with the drummer! And i know you missed him madly!" Liezel said to her.

"Can you tell me why did you call?" She changed the topic.

"Oh! I just want to invite you in Magic Land!" Liezel told her.

"We are not teens anymore and besides i have plenty of things to do..." she replied.

"Oh... I thought you will accept... Well anyway if you have time just tell me ok!" Liezel said.

"Ok..." She replied.

"Wait before this call end... May i ask you... How long already since Roger went to do their album?" Liezel asked.

"It's been 4 months now... And i think, one of this days he will return home. Why did you asked?"

"Nothing... I am just praying that he will comeback tomorrow there... So that you will never be lonely!" Liezel replied giggling.

"Crazy!" She said but she chuckled.

"Ok... Bye bye! Sorry if i disturbed you!"

"Not a problem Lizzy!" She smiled.

"My heart beats like a drum...like a drum...drum, drum, drum, drum, drum, drum...." Liezel sang again to tease Jilliane.

"Go now! End this call! Bye bye!" She said. And that is how their conversation ended.

She smiled after putting down the phone to the stander. Yes.. the 4 months of waiting is going to end. And Roger will come back soon in any day or week now. And she really can't wait! She really feel excited to see him coming home. Suddenly, the phone rang again. She took the phone and clicked the answer button.

" Hello...Taylor Residence good morning!" She said.

"Jilliane...it's me Roger!" Said on the line.

Jilliane's heart beats like a drum again as she heard his raspy voice. At last! She heard him again. And because of this, she cannot speak.

"Hey! Are you there?" Roger asked.

"Yes... I...just.. no... I was cleaning..." She said. She really do not know what to say..

"Can you come here on Rockfield?" He asked.

"Why am i going there? There is nothing for me to do there!" She said.

"In fact, i want you to do me a favor!"

"What favor?" She asked.

"Can you come here to take my cymbals back there?" Roger asked.

"What?!" She exclaimed.

"Come on! We are about to finish the album maybe for one more week, and i don't want anything to bring when i comeback home!" Roger said to her.

"Why don't you want to bring it yourself when you came back! You're so lazy! And you wanna bother me!" She yelled. "I told you last time... You're equipments are so heavy!"

"That is why I'm asking this favor! Come on! Do it for me!... And aside from that you can see me now after 4 bloody months without me at home! I know you missed me!" Roger teased her.

"What?! You are so thick skinned jerk! You're making fun of me again!" She yelled for she is starting to get annoyed again courtesy of Roger.

Roger laughed on the other line..which made her filled with joy inside.

"Come on Jilliane!... Do it for me...please..." Roger plead.

"Ok...ok!... I'll take it..." She said.

"Thanks!... I'll wait here!" He said.

"Wait a minute... How's the band?" She asked.

"Well.. they were all fine and we're doing right... Only a few touches on the recording and we'll going back home and submit the album to EMI". He replied.

"Ok... That's fine to hear... I wanna see
your recording sessions too..." She said smiling.

"Ok... You can see it... I will wait here..." Roger said.

"I will be there around 10" she said.

"Ok... Thanks... And bye bye!" He said.

"Bye..." She said too. And the call ended.

She really felt happy and she hold her cheeks and giggling like a teen. Finally she heard his voice and talked to her a bit long! Now she will wait for about a week for his return in their home. She began to prepare herself to go to Rockfield Studios to do his favor. She was really excited to see him... After that bloody long 4 months.
