Chapter 55: Problem with the Album

Jilliane was doing her Manuscript the way it was like before. She thinks of new scenes, but she can't help but to think of what happened this Morning... She shook her head and place her hands on her forehead. She was in a deep thought and looked at her wedding ring...

"Fuck that Bitch!" Someone said in which Jilliane suddenly turn around where that voice came from. She knows it was Freddie and she thought something happened. It was her first time hearing Freddie saying bad word and truly irritated. As she looked where Freddie's voice came from, and she saw the band entering the house all the way to the living room.

"Hi Jilliane!" Brian said and waved his hand. She smiled to him. Deaky came after Brian and just smiled on her. Roger came after the two inhaling his cigarette and she was surprised with Freddie, his face is red because of anger. And she never saw him like this before, for she knew that Freddie is a happy and bright person. So she is not used to see him angry.

They all sat on the sofa Freddie still keep on nagging... And she has no idea on what is Freddie mad at.

"How could he say he was our big fan if he cannot allow "Bohemian Rhapsody" to become our single? Damn that Featherstone!" Freddie said to them. He is really mad.

Jilliane went to the Dining room and take out some drinks for them.

" If it will not become our single, then no one is going to play it on any radio station..." Deaky said.

"And that is the main point there! What the fuck is wrong with a bloody 6 minute song?!" Freddie yelled.

"For him it's quite too long...and radio stations wants shorter ones... They cannot risk a 5 minutes and 55 seconds song...it was already equivalent of 2 songs." Brian said to them.

"There is no problem with the song Brian! The problem was with them!" Freddie still continues to nag.

Jilliane put down their drinks on the table and sat beside Roger.

"I guess my strange feeling really came true... I told you, before we had a conversation with them that i got this feeling that something like this might going to happen" Deaky said.

"And now here it is..." Roger said.

" "Bohemian Rhapsody" was and will always be the single of our new album... and I will fight for it! I will fight for that bloody 6 minutes!" Freddie said.

"Excuse me if i interfere but what just happened?" Jilliane asked.

"EMI's executive Roy Featherstone doesn't want to release Bohemian Rhapsody as our single of the new album... He said radio stations will never be able to play it for the song is too long" Brian replied.

"If the carrier single song of the album will never be played in radio stations, then, the album has no chance to be released...and that would mean, the album that we had worked hard for four months will become in vain and useless!". Roger added.

"Added that he also said the song is a big nonsense and just a trash! How did he said that? That's bullshit!...That song, that single song took us about a month to finish, and multi tracking is hard and the album is the band's most expensive album so far! How could he possibly say he is a Queen fan if he even cannot allow it to become our single and be played on radio stations for fucking 6 minutes?!He's an idiot!" Freddie yelled again.

"Calm down Freddie... Your album is going to be fine when some sort of things will be settled." Jilliane said to him.

"Sorry darling if you hear me nagging... I am just mad at EMI... Mostly that Featherstone!" Freddie said and took the drink and drank it.

"John Reid is going to haVe conversation with them again tomorrow... We must hope that by that time they will allow it to be our carrier single". Deaky said to them.

They all became silent. Jilliane became affected with the band's situation. She saw how the band did their very best to made each and every song. Blood, sweat, time, passion and even money to earn this precious gem for them and other's say it is a trash...that is really unfair. If only she can do something for the band.

"Hey! Why are you silent?... Do not mind our problem... It's us...not yours... Everything will be fine!" Roger said to her as he notice she was on a deep thought regarding on their situation with EMI.

"Yes darling! You're man is right!" Freddie said to her. He's anger was subsided for this time. He was now on the mood.

" Don't stress yourself on our problem..." Brian said to her smiling.

"Yeah...they're right..." Deaky also said to her.

"I will make sure they will change their minds later! Bohemian Rhapsody will still be our single for our album..." Freddie said and wink his right eye on her. And she just smiled. "Oh! By the way darling... Did you remember Roy?" Freddie asked her.

"Yes...he is your album producer right?" Jilliane replied.

"Yeah darling!... You know what? He admit on us tha he has crush on you?!" Freddie said to her giggling.

"Oh! I didn't know!" She exclaimed.

"He even told us he wants to court you! Right boys?" Freddie said again and he chuckled.

"Does he said that?!" Roger exclaimed.

"Yeah...he said it!" Brian said and smiled.

"But we told him that you are already married to Roger... And i said to him that if you will get separated he can court you freely!" Freddie said smiling.

"You're so funny Freddie!" She exclaimed and looked at Roger. The latter didn't said anything. He just only inhaling his cigarette.

They had an alcohol session and the band just talked some things that she cannot understand for it was only the band's affairs. She just only give them snacks. There sometimes they talked about their relationship in which Roger didn't give any compliment, there are also few talks about John's expected fatherhood, and some nasty and dirty jokes to make their conversation alive. Freddie has a lot of stories and talk in which was the product of being congenial, but yet he is still a shy type of person. Roger sometimes is on the line to throw some jokes and conversation so the talk continues. Jilliane was there and accompanied the band, she was amazed to them. She still can't help but think of the band's situation... She feels she has something must do for the band. But she doesn't know what and even how to help them out.
