This left prerna in shock. She didn't say anything and left.

Sid got confused and surprised at her reaction but he thought to talk to her later because she must be got disturbed at this sudden proposal.

She didn't say yes but she also didn't say no.
She also didn't tell Anurag about it because he would get disturbed and who knows he would come here leaving his business trip.

At night she spoke to him like always. But she knew that she has to do something about it and clear this matter.

Next day.

Prerna got late for work on purpose so that she won't have to face Sid. And when she received a call from office to knew her time of arrival because she never gets late, she told Moloy, that she was not well.

And to add more difficulties in her life, Anurag landed in Kolkata finishing all of his work before the last date to surprise her.
Prerna, obviously, didn't know about it.

He directly went to office but couldn't find her, her phone was also switched off to avoid people. He asked Moloy about her.

"Hey, dad! Have you seen Prerna?"

"Anu! What...what are you doing here? You were arriving tomorrow, right?!"

"Oh! Yeah! Well, I'm sorry, I forgot to inform you."

"So, Prerna is the reason! I got it."

"Yeah...no! No! Yeah, I mean, where is she? But I'm not here for her. Actually, I'm here for her...but not only her...."

"Hey, hey, hey! It's fine man! I understand! I used to do the same. I have also done many things to meet your mom. You know, love makes us do many things. Now go and meet her. She is sick. She might need you."
Anurag's smile faded as he heard about her sickness.

"What!?"

"Don't worry! It's just fever. She'll be fine."

"Yeah!"

He quickly went to meet her.

At her home.

When Anurag reached there he found Sid coming out of her house.

"Hey, what are you doing here.?"
Anurag asked approaching him as he got annoyed to see him here.

"Hey man! When did you come?"

"I asked, what are you doing here?"
He again asked him with slight anger in his voice.

"Woah! Woah! What's this anger is all about?"
Anurag tilt his head and try to calm down.

"Actually, I'm here to meet Prerna. Moloy sir told that she was sick." Sid continued.
Anurag realized for what he came here for and moved towards her house.

"No need to go. She is not inside."
Anurag ignored him and walked.

"I'm not lying. I just went inside and she was not there. She must be disturbed after yesterday." Sid said remembering the proposal.

"What!? What happened yesterday?"

"Yesterday....I.....can we go there and talk over tea?" Sid suggested to go nearby tea stall and then he continued.

"Actually, the thing is, Prerna is an awesome person. She is so good and hardworking and beautiful with good thoughts, mannerism, professionalism, she is good at everything. The way she talks, her smile......"

"Yeah! Just stop! Fast forward it. And come to the point."
Anurag stopped him getting irritated by the fact that Sid observed her keenly.

"Oh.. yes! Actually....basically I really like her. And I confessed it yesterday. And she is ignoring me since..."

"What!?"
Anurag cut him in between in shock.

"What did she say?"
Anurag asked.

"That's what I'm telling you. She is ignoring me since then. She is avoiding my calls and messages. And I think she is not sick, she is just trying to avoid me."

"Yeah, cool."
Anurag took a breath.

"What's cool about this?"

"No, nothi..."

"Whatever! Hey, I think you must know her ike her best buddy or...or big brother. Please tell me how to win her heart."

"What friend? No!! And big brother? What the fuck is that? Hell no!! Actually, people don't know but we are......"
Anurag's gonna tell him the truth without thinking when sid's phone rang.

"Hello! Prerna! Where are you? I've been looking for you. Look, we need to talk! Okay? We'll sort this out togeth..."

Sid's voice faded away as Anurag went into the thought that Prerna called SID. He got angry on the facts that she didn't told him anything, he has no idea on where is she and above that she is calling Sid not him.
He went to one of their farm houses and told the security to inform his dad and also not to say anything to anyone which was told to his dad too."

Prerna called him and they meet in a park.
She called him to clarify the things.

"Hey! I..."

"Hey! I was looking for you and why was your phone off?"
Sid said holding her hands.
She took back her hands and-

"Actually, I called you to talk about what happened."

"You know! I went to your home and they said that you went to your friend. But I didn't believe them. Because I knew there must be something that you are missing out."

"Yeah! Can we talk?"

"Obviously! But thank God you called. I was just telling Anurag that..."

"Anurag? Who Anurag?"

"Anurag! Your best friend! He is back in the town. Didn't he tell you that?"

"No! When did he come?"
She said while standing up.

"This morning I guess! Hey, but where are you going?"

"I'll talk you later. Bye!"
She said and run away.
