Epilogue-1

Prerna was trying to start her own business and as she already got the investors she started the project.
Anurag was on a business trip. So, it's been rough in their relationship.
They didn't had much time to spend with each other and this distance was troubling them. But they had to pay this price for their careers.

"We don't have much time to spend lately, don't you think?"
Prerna said on the call.

"Yeah, we both are busy!"
Anurag replied.

"I think we should go on a trip after we get a break from all of this? What do you think?"

"Yeah! Totally! And we can.....hold on. I'm getting a call from office, and it may be important! They don't call me this late. Let me call you back."

"Yeah...."
She was saying when the call cut.

".....sure!"
She completed after call.

'We seriously are getting hell lot of busy, we need to make time for ourselves. I just hope this doesn't end up in distance between us.'
She thought to herself and drifted into sleep.

Some more days went without them talking properly and as they were both in town, without meeting each other properly.
Prerna's worst thoughts were starting to be true. There was distance prevailing between them.
And when they did get time to spend with each other, something was always there to come up. Either their business calls, meetings, urgent matters or their families, other social functions, parties etc. There life was pretty much surrounded by all of these things.

"Hi!"

"Hey!"

They were finally alone and away from all the things keeping them apart. In a park, at 1 AM, without much lights, they decided to meet.
They hugged for a long time feeling each other's warmth.
They sat on the nearby bench as Anurag kept his head on Prerna's lap.

"This is getting too much to handle."
Anurag complained.

"Yeah! I'm getting tired of all this. Why can't it get simple.
Two people working and managing their relationship and family matters. Why does it sound simple but is not?"
Prerna said agreeing.

"The movies have fucked us all up. They show it like it's a cakewalk."

"True!"
Prerna chuckled and so did Anurag.

"But this is peaceful, you me and this night."
Anurag said taking a relaxing breath.

"And what about this?"

"What about what?"

"This....you laying on my lap, taking me as a pillow. Come on, move now. It's my turn."

"It's just been 2 minutes. We've a lifetime ahead of us and I'll lie down in your lap every single day."
He said romantically teasing her and kissing her hands.

She snatched her hands from him, made him sit and lie down on his lap.

"Not you, I got to do this every single day."
She repeated his words and they both chuckled.

"I wish we could run away from all of this and be with each other you know. At least for a few days."
She said taking a deep breath.

"Me too."
Anurag replied softly.

They were both looking at the sky, with her head on his lap, she was playing with one of his hands and he was sitting sticking to the bench with one hand on his head and elbow resting on the bench.
The scene was perfect and peaceful.

"Hello Mohini ji, is Preeyu at your home? I can't seem to find her anywhere."
Veena spoke on call.

"No, I don't think so. Did you try her phone?"
Mohini replied.

"Yes, it's switched off. And Anurag's phone is switched off as well. It's after 7 in the morning. I'm very tensed. Where can she go at such time?"

"Wait, let me ask Anurag? He may know something."
Mohini said and send someone to call Anurag.

"Ma'am Anurag sir is not in his room."

"What? Are you sure?"

"Yes ma'am."

"Veena, Anurag is also not here."

Hello everyone!
So, where do you think they both are? And now as their families are tensed, what do you think will happen.
So, I'm writing the epilogue in two parts as a farewell gift for you all of this book.
I hope you'll like it.
And as the show started again, tell me if you're liking it or not. And for me the show is turning into a big disaster. I'm hating it. And the way they're shooting it is also irritating. 🤯
