Something Wicked

Seventeen a nature's queen, you'll know what I mean
Twenty-one, a long one you can see the numbers run
Now you look so peaceful, lyin' there asleep
With the wings of God above you, before the spirits meet

You were growing more and more annoyed with your brothers' bickering. They had been arguing for the past hour about the coordinates that your father had sent you the day before. You knew your father wouldn't send them if they weren't important, but Sam wasn't so convinced. You had been silent as you had not wanted to get involved, but you were growing more and more annoyed, so finally you voice your own opinion on the situation, "You probably just missed something, Sam. We're going and that's final. If Dad sent us coordinates, it's for a reason."

Sam turns around to face you. He looked annoyed likely because he had thought you had agreed with him as you did with most other things concerning your father, "Dude, I ran LexisNexis, local police reports, newspapers, I couldn't find a single red flag." He looks over at Dean, "Are you sure you got the coordinates right?"

Dean drums his fingers on the steering wheel, his shoulders tensing. This wouldn't end well, it never did, "Yeah, I double-checked. It's Fitchburg, Wisconsin. Like (Y/N) said, Dad wouldn't have sent us coordinates if it wasn't important, Sammy."

"Well, I'm telling you that I looked and all I could find was a big steamy pile of nothing." Sam was getting more and more frustrated now that two of his siblings were against him, "If Dad's sending us hunting for something, I don't know what."

"You never know, maybe the old SOB is meeting us there." You hoped that he wasn't. The less time you spent with your father the better, "Maybe we're finally allowed to participate in the family crusade again."

"Yeah," Sam says sarcastically. You could tell he was rolling his eyes even though you couldn't see him. "Cause he's been so easy to find up to this point."

Dean's tapping stops and he looks over at Sam for as long as the road would allow, "You're a real smartass, you know that?" He resumes his drumming with a heavy sigh. "Don't worry, I'm sure there's something in Fitchburg worth killing."

"Yeah? What makes you so sure?" Sam questions.

Dean catches your eye in the rearview mirror and you give him a stern look, your way of telling him that he better not make the bickering turn into a full-on fight. He nods slightly before looking back at the road, "Cause I'm the oldest, which means I'm always right."

You let out a short, fake laugh at that, "No, it doesn't." If anything, Dean was right because he listened to you.

"It does." He glances back at you again before looking to the road with a grin. You roll your eyes and look out the window, just as the Impala cruises past the welcome sign for Fitchburg.

Time Skip: 1 Hour

Dean had gone into a restaurant called Glasgow's Diner to ask the locals some questions, leaving you and Sam to wait outside near the car and look for anything outwardly wrong.

At first, nothing had seemed out of place, until you looked at the playground. It was late afternoon and school was out for the day, so why was there only one kid playing on the structure? You pointed it out to Sam who had agreed with your concern.

Dean finally walks back out of the diner, crossing the street and walking over to the car. He hands both of you a coffee as he begins to speak, "Well...the waitress thinks the local freemasons are up to something sneaky but other than that, no one's heard about anything freaky going on."

Sam was still staring ahead at the playground, "Dean, you got the time?"

Your older brother glances down at his watch before looking back up at the two of you, "Ten after four. Why?"
