-sadiefinn's eyes fluttered open; feeling much better after getting a few hours of sleep.
sadie smiled down at the boy; she hands him a bottled water, mostly to get the alcohol out of his system.
sadie has taken care of him and watched over him for a couple hours, he slept. he woke up in a panic about an hour again, needing to throw up his lunch. sadie just rubbed his back and stayed with him til he would fall back asleep.
"hey,"
"hi." finn yawned, taking the water out of her hand, just to take the cap off and take a sip or two.
"how are you feeling?" she rubbed her hand on his arm to calm him.
"better."
"that's good," she started rethinking everything they talked about earlier. maybe it could work? but it's probably not the best idea. "were you being serious about what we talked about earlier?" finn sat up, even sitting down next to her he still looked way taller.
"yeah. i've got a friend on my call list that wouldn't mind getting us out. maybe you'd like him. he's got a car, an apartment. i'm sure he wouldn't mind letting us stay for a few days until we could figure out someway to skip town. maybe we could even go visit millie. wouldn't that be great?"
finn was smiling, it caused sadie to smile. that's another thing about finn. he's smile is contagious.
"i just had one concern." she paused, taking a breath. "i'm on bipolar meds. meaning, if we leave here. how would i get them?"
"do you really need them? i'm on anxiety meds but i'm sure i'll be okay. maybe we could find a dealer?"
"a dealer? isn't that illegal?"
"we're breaking out of here, that's illegal." he laughed. she shook her head at the though. she sat with her arms in her lap. finn reached over and laced their fingers together.
she smiled down at their hands.
"yeah, i suppose you're right." she flushed a red color.
she definitely liked him.
"i'm always right, anyways. about that k-"
"it's not the first time we've kissed; why do we have to talk about it?" her face turned an even brighter red embarrassment.
"i was just going to ask; did you like it?" he smirked lightly, at her embarrassment.
"i- um, yeah; sure. i liked it." she said awkwardly.
"good.. me too." he said the last part quietly; but she still heard it.
she tension grew between them and sadie began to feel a bit uncomfortable; so she decided to change the subject back.
"so, who's your friend? the one that would be coming to get us and everything. we'd have to do this all at night, right?"
"oh, his name is caleb. and yeah; we could probably even leave tonight if you're ready."
caleb.
flash backs of her ex boyfriend flashed through her mind. the horrible things he did, cheated and fucked her best friend, maddie. she doesn't even care that much anymore it's just; the name. though it can't be the same caleb. right?
"tonight?" she questioned.
"yeah, but only if you want to." she smiled, and her face dropped the red tint and she became pale again.
"okay. yeah. we can leave tonight. meet me at the rooftop after dinner, okay?" she says, smiling yet dropping it once her back is turned. she exited her own room, without even letting him agree with her. and went into the bathroom. she grabbed her pills, along with her other clothes and put them all in the backpack she came in. they never took her clothes away; but she wasn't allowed to wear them.
she hasn't even been here for a month and she already leaving; with a boy. she's leaving with finn. what does that make them? does this mean they're like, together?though he's perfect, to her. from his messy curly hair to his perfect personality. she was still scared.
scared of commitment, scared of being on her own. what if they didn't work out and they started fighting again? no, that wouldn't happen.
right?
he said he wished she was his. does that mean he wanted to be her boyfriend?
though she doesn't give an actual fuck about labels, and never had. she just wants to know where they stand, and what he wants.
finn is genuinely a good guy, he's not like caleb. sadie knows that now; she's come to terms with it.
when she came back to her room finn was asleep again, it's only been 10 minutes and he's out cold? sadie's not even surprised.
though she let him sleep because she knew he was going to be up all night with her.
falling asleep together wasn't a occasional thing, anymore. it happened a lot. they've kissed more than once too; though either finn was drunk or sadie was high. was that going to turn into a regular thing too?
in a way sadie hoped so.
she wanted him in her future and there was no denying that. he did too.
shaking from her thoughts; she sat next to the sleeping boy. leaned down, over his head just to place a kiss on his messy hair.
god, he was so pretty. he looked so peaceful while he slept.
she didn't know what else about him that drew her towards him.
she's attracted to the way he speaks to her; the way he acts. the way he cares about people. the way he expresses himself. liking him is so, every effortless.
she don't have to try, or think about it too much. though she does; she over thinks it. and that's why she's always confused.
he's different from people she's liked before; he's always been. maybe that's why she likes him? she doesn't even know.
there's so much more she could to say but she won't ever have the conference to say it to his face.
maybe this is the start of a new beginning.
