sadie and finn enter the cafeteria with stares; not only from millie, and their small group of friends but from others.

by others, i mean people sadie hasn't even met before.

of course, the presumptuous girl she pretends to be; she ignores it. she hates being the center of attention so she has always avoided it.

on the other hand, finn didn't even notice. they simply strode back to their friends.

millie instantly grabbed sadie's hand; like normal. millie always grabs her hand; only this time she used it to pull sadie closer to her face so she could whisper in her ear.

"you have to tell me everything." she said excitingly; sadie laughed at her sparky best friend.

hours passed and now sadie was sitting cross legged on millie's bed telling her that she's going to finn's room later that night.

"okay, okay! just be careful." millie laughed, but said in all seriousness.

"i'm always careful!" she laughed along with her. "you should probably go to dinner, it's almost 5."

"you're not going?" millie asked.

"no thanks, it'll be earlier to sneak out if i head to finn's now." she explained.

"okay, well. good luck." and with that millie left, and sadie waited a bit to finally exit her room.

with no guards in sigh (like always because they're pretty sucky at their jobs), sadie slipped into finn's room. the door closing behind her. and the boy who was sitting on his bed looked up to greet her,

"hey."

she cleared her throat, "hi. did you get it?" she asked sitting down next to him.

finn smiled, and pulled out the white laptop from under his pillow,
"of course."

"awesome." she crossed her leg over the other.

finn moved over on his bed and laid on his stomach, motioning for sadie to join him. once she did he started the movie. the laptop was placed against his bed frame and finn and sadie both had their elbows on the pillow; sharing it, in a way.

about an hour into the movie sadie completely fell asleep, since finn and her were kinda sharing his pillow; her head rested on it.
once she fell asleep finn swiftly brought back natalia's computer. and actually climbed back into bed, with sadie.

he gave her space, they were not touching when he fell asleep; but when they woke up was a different story.

sadie's blue eyes shot open, in a panic. finn had an arm around her waist and their legs were tangled in a mess. though, once she woke up in a panic; it also woke finn up.

"what happened? are you okay?" he rubbed his tired eyes, scared something bad happened to her. but it was just a dream; a nightmare.

"i should go back to my room."

"what? why?"

"i don't want you to get the wrong idea finn, you're a really great friend. a few days ago i walked in on you and iris hooking up; this feels wrong." she made up excuses; but were they excuses?

"what?- sadie, no. it's not like that. i know we're just friends." he stuttered, probably from the fact that it's the middle of the night and he had just woken up.

sadie sat up completely.

"listen, i don't know what you're trying to do here but i'm not interested in having sex with you, so you can go back to iris if that was your goal." she spat. finn also sat up now. he scrunched his eyebrows together.

"i didn't know you had such a big fucking ego, princess." he scoffed, honestly kind of hurt.

"yeah? whatever." she went to get up, but finn grabbed her wrists, and she winced.

"look, i don't want to have sex with you, okay? i just wanted a friend around here." she stared at him in disbelief.

his eyes trailed down to the vertical and horizontal scars all up the middle of her wrists; he let go once he realized what they were and stared up at the girl.

she couldn't help but tear up, she looked away from him.

"sadie, i-"

"don't even say anything, finn! just leave me alone from now on." and with that, the red headed girl left his room in a hurry, not caring in the slightest to look back.

unfortunately, while sadie was quickly trying to make it back into her room, she walked directly into a guard.

she of course, lied and said she just wanted water, and she was going back to sleep but they of course didn't believe it.

since it was too late at night to discuss the punishment for sneaking out; the guard decided to put her in solitary.

the room was dark, and there was nothing but a mattress on the floor, and a place to use the bathroom.

it was awful.

finn sat in his room, staring up at the ceiling trying to think of ways he could apologize to her. he didn't know what to say or do. and he didn't know why she reacted like that. lots of patients have scars like that; i guess she's embarrassed of them. maybe she doesn't want anyone to know?

he finally fell back sleep, but morning came faster than normal.

it was now 7:00 am; and everyone was in the cafeteria eating breakfast.

the only thing off about today was the fact that sadie never showed up.

"so finn, where's sadie?" millie asked.

"she's not.. with you?" he asked confused; sadie and millie always spend their mornings together; even though they don't really have a house since they're roommates.

"no, she told me she was spending the night in your room."

"yeah, i mean she was but she left early, i though she went back." he explained, while millie picked at her muffin.

"fuck, where could she be?"
