Newt and Queenie ran out of the room to see her pointing her wand at three wizards who had theirs pointed at her. Once Queenie and Newt entered, they each had wands pointed at a wizard each, Roy and Tina still having a stand-down of their own. "What's going on here?" Newt asked, desperate for answers. He tried to avoid conflict if he could, but whatever was going to happen looked inevitable.

"Very little time to explain," Tina didn't look away from Roy. "This man here wants to take ______, doesn't matter if it's by force or not. He's working for someone, Newt. I think it's the person who wrote that note, read our letters and organized the robbery of your case."

Roy laughed, which put everyone off a little bit. "You really think you guys are so important? That robbery wasn't about you. None of this is about you, it never was. Just hand the no-maj over and I'll be out of your hair and so will she, everyone can get back to their normal lives."

Newt began to speak up, looking away from the wizard he had his eyes on and looking right at Roy. "No way. Whoever hired you, whoever is trying to find ______, he doesn't deserve to find her. There's a reason she's here now and not back there with him."

Roy raised an eyebrow and looked away from Tina. "You think it's that simple? ______ still doesn't have a memory, correct?"

Newt's expression fell, and the tiny burst of confidence he had dropped. "How do you know that?" he asked.

Roy smiled sickly. "I've been watching you. Battery Park, alleyways, cafes. I know about you and ______ travelling around Manhattan, Mr. Scamander. Still, she remembers little to nothing. He knows what's best for her."

As silence hung in their air, Tina took advantage of the moment where Roy wasn't looking at her. "Expelliarmus!" she shouted, and the wand flew from his hand. At that moment, however, the other two wizards started retaliating. The once-peaceful apartment was turning into a battle ground, sparks flying, and spells being thrown and deflected.

Newt was doing his best to protect the entrance to the room and hoped that somehow _______ wasn't hearing all of this when Roy got ahold of his wand again. Roy and Newt looked right at each other, and Newt had a sinking idea of what he was about to do. Over Newt's fuss to protect the room, he had inadvertently shown Roy exactly where ______ was. Roy and Newt both flicked their wands and apparated. Once they both got into the room, Roy and Newt shared in the same surprise.

______ wasn't in the room.

Roy just looked at Newt with an annoyed expression. "We will find her. We know that you guys have been hiding her from magic, she couldn't have gone far." As he turned and left the room, Newt still stood there, dumbfounded. She couldn't have gotten out, and there was only one other place in this room she could be. He looked over to his suitcase, which had been under his bed before, and now was in the middle of the floor. This is going to be hard to explain.

______ was wandering around, really. The initial shock had turned into curiosity over what exactly was going on in this case. There were tons of creatures past the door of the room she initially climbed into, and none of them seemed to care too much about her presence. They seemed accustomed to the presence of humans in the case. Newt must take care of them, she concluded. This is his suitcase, after all.

Weird thoughts and feelings began to climb in her as she walked around. This was magic, she knew that, and something about it felt... familiar. Nothing about the beasts themselves, but the magic of it all. As she walked around, it felt like there was an invisible path laid out for her.

"Get the case, ______. If I can do this, I can prove that I'm better than the most powerful wizard of this age. Even he wasn't able to keep the case for long. Grab the case, bring it here, and I will prove to you that I'm the best wizard. That will prove to you that we're powerful together. You cannot leave me."

She allowed her feet to lead her to an area that seemed to be hidden away from everything else. In the corner of the case, hidden by a tarp and covered in snow. Curiosity consumed her as she walked into the habitat.

"He's a simple wizard. How he managed to get his case back from Grindelwald is beyond me. We'll just treat it as an ordinary robbery, he shouldn't catch on. We have to do it together. I'll be waiting for you, ______. Come back."

She entered, only to see a black ball of indescribable mass floating around. What is that? she asked herself, inching closer towards it.

"Come back, ______. Don't try to run away again. I will always find you."

She wasn't in the right state of mind when she reached out to touch it.

When Newt got down, he found the door to his office and sleeping area had been left open. He quickly went through and shut the door behind him. He knew for sure she was in here now. "______! ______, where are you?" he began shouting, running around. His case was huge, and he was scared she could get lost, or hurt, or maybe hurt a beast. Not that she thought she would on purpose, but accidents can happen when someone is panicked and doesn't know how to approach them.

Newt was running as fast as his legs could carry him to find ______. He knew that no matter what. now they had to tell her about magic. There was no excuse for this, and maybe it was for the better. Maybe if she knew about magic, it would be easier to protect her and get her far, far away from whoever was looking for her.

No-majs may not allowed to have knowledge about wizards in America, but back home, the rules would be slacker. Maybe I can bring her with me home, Newt thought. In order to even entertain that idea, however, he had to find her first. There was only so far she could've gone into the case.

Newt had a pretty good idea of where she was once he heard a scream erupt from the back of his case.
