Their instructions were clear: get ______ out of the house without her seeing any magic. Draculous was up to something, and his hired help wasn't exactly going to ask too many questions. They knew too many of those would get you on his bad side. All they knew was that he wanted ______ removed from the house without her seeing any magic, and that he had a plan to "reintroduce it" into her life and restart everything.

Maybe now, Draculous thought as he sent them after her. She'll listen, trust me more, forget all about the hurt and all the times I lost my temper. I didn't mean to. This time, things will be different. She'll learn to be better.

The small force to get her consisted of just three wizards: his private detective and two men that he hired to help the PI. They promised to be gentle, and they assured Draculous that they'd just follow the PI's lead and not escalate things. The PI claimed he knew Tina Goldstein well, that they used to go to school together. He'd reason with her and anyone else to make sure _______ was safe.

That was the plan, anyways.

The morning where everything changed felt like every other Saturday morning. Queenie made breakfast and they were all sitting around eating. Tina was happy to finally have the day off work after the stress of everything that had been going on, Newt and ______ had decided to take the day off from searching for clues around New York, and everything felt at ease. They were all gathered around the table talking about what they planned to do that day when there was a harsh knock at the door. For a moment, no one wanted to move. Tina and Queenie exchanged confused glances: they never really got visitors.

Tina was the one who got up and headed to the door, and Queenie started grabbing now-empty plates. Queenie had a sinking feeling that things were about to go wrong, a feeling that was shared by Newt, who inched a little closer to ______. He was ready to remove her from the situation at the first sign of trouble.

Tina opened the door and saw three men standing outside, only one of whom she recognized: an old classmate. She thought his name might be Roy. "What's going on?" she asked, and then glanced back at Queenie, giving her a secret signal: get ______ out of the room.

Queenie turned to Newt and ______, using the first excuse that came to mind. "Tina's work friends just came over; I think they need to talk about the private case she's mentioned at work. We should clear the room for her, can we go into your guys' room?"

______ trusted Queenie. After all, she had no reason to lie. So, she just stood up and nodded. "Of course," she looked over at Newt, waiting to follow his lead.

Sooner than the men could enter the home, ______, Queenie and Newt were in another room with the door closed and locked. Newt and Queenie knew it was best to stay with her, just in case anything happened.

Meanwhile, Tina was still with the other three, and it had turned into a strange waiting game. Roy just smiled at her. "Tina Goldstein, long time no see. I hear you work for MACUSA these days, am I right?"

"I am not in the mood for small talk," Tina cut him off. "Why are you here, and who is with you? What is this about?"

"May I come in?"

Tina sighed and looked back: it looked like Queenie had gotten the message and left the room. She moved aside. "Sure. Just get right to the point, please. It's against the rules of my building to have men on the premises."

Roy came in, along with the other two wizards who always stayed behind her. "Put simply, Tina, I'm here for the no-maj. I'm working for someone who's been very worried about her, and he'd really like to see that she's returned to him safely."

The way that Roy talked about ______ made Tina sick. He talked about her as if she was a common object that could just be tossed back and forth, and not someone who had the ability to make her own choices. "I can't do that too quickly, Roy. You need to explain a few things first."

Roy shook his head. "I really can't tell you anything, Tina. I don't want to make a scene; I just want the girl back."

"Answer this," Tina pushed, standing her ground. She had changed a lot since the 'quiet girl' at school. "Why was she trying to steal Mr. Scamander's case, and why does she know about magic? How much does she know?"

Roy just shook his head. "Those are exactly the kind of questions I can't answer, Tina. All I can tell you is that if you don't give her back, you're going to be messing with a man you don't want any trouble with."

"No deal," Tina told him. "I don't trade people. ______ stays here."

Roy laughed a little. "You're as stubborn as ever. Just chose the easy way out. I don't want to use force, but if I need to..." he trailed off, and the other two wizards behind him pulled their wands. "I will. There are ways to get to her, and I just wanted to offer you the easy one."

Tina pulled out her wand as well and began to back up slowly. She knew she couldn't do this by herself, but the other two wizards were currently in another room. "I won't go down. You cannot take her; she is not yours to take."

"No, but she is his to take," Roy commented, grabbing his own wand.

That got Tina really upset on behalf of ______. No matter what her past was, Tina was positive she didn't deserve to be talked about like this. Without breaking eye contact with Roy, she called out. "Queenie! Newt! I need some help out here!"

In the guest room, all three were caught by surprise when Tina called out. Queenie could tell by the tone in her voice that something was going wrong, and Newt could too. However, there was one issue: ______. "What's that about?" she asked, looking between Queenie and Newt.

Newt didn't know what to say, so once again, Queenie spat out the first thing she could think of. "I'm sure it's no big deal, she probably just wants another opinion on something."

"Can I come?" ______ stood up from the bed.

"It'll be okay," Newt told her. "We'll be back soon, just stay here." As he and Queenie left the room, something overcame him: he wanted to make sure she stayed safe. He knew if it were wizards out there, it wouldn't be any use, but he decided on something anyways, using a charm to lock the door behind him.

As they left the room, ______ thought she heard another shout, and then something knocks over. Soon enough, she could hear multiple voices outside, and she couldn't help but get horribly curious and feel left out. This wasn't the first time either, she always felt like the odd one out, but this felt even worse than usual. She stood up and went to the door, only to be shocked when it was locked.

Why does this lock from the outside? she asked and tried again. Still no luck. She started knocking on the door. "Hey! Someone come let me out! This is ridiculous!" she exclaimed, but her knocks proved useless. There was more shouting, and more things sounded like they were falling over.

Whatever was going on out there, she knew one thing: she was being lied to about what was going on.

She hated it. There was so much secrecy in this house, and this was the final straw. She looked around the room when she spotted what she was looking for: Newt's suitcase. Whatever was in there, it was something worth stealing. Something worth planning ahead for, worth risking harm for. She lost her memories just to get this case, and she had no idea what was even inside of it. She went over and began to open it.

It was time for her to find out just what secrets Newt's suitcase held.
