The next day, Newt was spending the afternoon in hid case, attending to ______. Tina had explained the plan to get on the boat tonight to him over breakfast, and he was nervous. He had been hoping that ______ would be awake by now so he could tell her what was going on instead of her having to wake up in a new country. After all, right now he felt like he was kidnapping her, and he seemed to be the only one concerned by it. Tina was looking at everything from an analytical standpoint, and Queenie thought it was reasonable. Newt was worried.

That's when his wish was granted.

After days of ______ sleeping in Newt's office, he was shocked when he heard her begin to move. He immediately put his book down and watched as she turned to lay on her side, grunting softly. It was dead silent as she sat up, looking around slowly until she finally noticed Newt, the two of them making silent eye contact. Neither one of them spoke for a moment, and Newt was the first one to break the bond of silence. "You probably have a lot of questions, but first, how are you feeling?"

Surprisingly, ______ didn't look like she was confused at all. Instead, she grabbed the blanket that she had been under and clenched it a little tighter. "I'm feeling... a little dizzy, but that's about it. Surprising, considering what happened..." she trailed off.

Newt couldn't conceal his happiness anymore. He was just glad to see her awake, and he inched closer to her. "I'm... I can't believe you're awake," Newt smiled, looking away from her eyes for a moment and taking a deep breath. "I was worried for so long, and seeing you awake right now makes me undeniably happy. May I hug you?"

She sat there for a moment, not moving, but she slowly nodded, letting go of the blanket and enveloping Newt suddenly in a tight hug. He put his arms around her, and his hands fell onto her back, rubbing it in soft circles. Eventually, he heard what sounded like a sob, followed by the words "I remember everything, Newt."

Newt was taken aback and pulled away to look her in the eyes. Her face was wet from the tears that had already begun to fall, and Newt didn't think about it as he raised a hand to her face, beginning to wipe them away. "You do?" he asked, and she nodded. "Everything from before we met, too?"

"Yes," she managed to tell him, and Newt just wiped away any new tears that fell. "Everything."

"Hey, it's okay, ______," Newt began to comfort her. "You don't need to talk about it all right now if you don't want to. I want you to know that you're far, far away from him right now. Tina, Queenie and I have been keeping you safe from any and all of the wizards who've come looking for you. We just don't know why they are looking for you, or who's paying them."

"I want to tell you," she began. "I want to tell you because I know there's nothing I can do to avoid it, and I don't want to drag you into this part of my life. You've been so, so incredibly kind, Newt. All of you have, and I don't want anyone to get hurt on my behalf."

"Things don't have to end as badly as you think they will," Newt assured her. "I've helped you for this long, and I'm not going to turn back now, _______. I want to help you as much as I can."

______ took a deep breath. "Draculous was my boyfriend," she began. "He was a wizard, too. He wasn't the best person, he used to... he had a temper. I was trying to leave him, but he was controlling. Every time I managed to move just a little further from him, he would find me. I moved off Staten Island to get away from him, and he just found my apartment. He started paying for it, then claimed that I owed him. He wouldn't leave me alone, and I couldn't fight him. If I didn't stay with him, he'd just use... this certain curse. Anytime I'd leave his house, he'd use it to make me come right back. I told him that if he ever used it on me again, he'd lose me forever."
