"Yep." I confirm, smiling as I retell the events of this afternoon to my best friend, "It's a date, he said."
"And it's tonight?" She exclaims, incredulous.
"It is indeed." I reply, "So, would you do the honours of helping me pick a date outfit. As you can imagine, I'm very out of practice."
"It would be my pleasure, Cass." She replies, and I can hear her excitement from down the phone. "I'm so happy for you, honey. This is what you deserve."
"Thanks, Em. Now, please can you get over here as fast as possible and get me ready?" I chuckle.
