Chapter 10 - What Now

It was quite a few hours later and Maya was at the hospital being checked out.
Katy had been admitted since she did have bruises to be tested for a few things but no one was sure what is happening to Maya.
She hasn't actually spoken to many people yet besides Josh but she had only seen him.
Cory and Topanga had to go to work and Riley and Auggie had to go to school.
Josh has been waiting to hear what is going on for quite awhile now and finally the doctor comes out.

"So I don't see anything physical wrong with her," he said.
"I don't think they hurt her. What will the emotional scars be?" Josh asked.
"There are different one's in each person. But I think she'll be fine."
"She is fourteen. How on earth can a fourteen year old survive this?" Josh asked.
"We have to wait but so far there isn't any physical scars. That is good," he said.
"Thank you Doctor."

Josh had just wandered around a bit before calling Topanga.

"What's the news? Are they okay?"
"Um... Katy has been admitted with scars and bruises nothing serious. Maya doesn't have physical scars but we can't tell from the emotional one's. We have to wait and see."
"What do you think? How did she act when you were with her?"
"Topanga she was scared to hell. Like any fourteen year old girl would be when she had to hide from people who is keeping her mom hostage and she doesn't have an idea what to do. She was very scared and I think there will be scars."
"Nah. She's tough. She'll make it. Thanks for the update. Talk soon."

Josh knew everyone was going to be avoiding Maya but he had to help her.
