It was a few days later and I was finally back home.
Josh went home just the previous day and he did say he'll keep in contact with me.
Mom hasn't talked to me yet even if I did try calling her but hopefully I'll be able to do that now.
I barely woke up and was getting dressed when I heard my door opening.
"Hey Baby Girl. You're home," Mom said trying to sound excited.
"Hi Mom," I said as I moved towards her giving her a hug.
She laid her hand on my head as she stroke my hair.
We were both glad to be out of that difficult situation.
"I'm glad you're back home, Baby Girl. How are you feeling?" Mom asked.
"I'm very good thank you. How are you? I didn't get hurt but you got tied up," I said as I tried keeping my tears hidden.
"I'm as strong as an ox. Listen Sweetheart, I don't want to do this anymore. I don't just want to be in your life every other week. I want us to try. What do you say? We'll start small and afterwards we can see how far we get. Just to see if we can do it. And if we can accomplish this we can see if anything will change," Mom said and I smiled.
"Why not? But now I need to finish getting ready and head to school. Is it okay if I hang out in the diner this afternoon?" I asked and Mom nod.
"Yeah, I'll get breakfast ready," Mom said and headed out of my room.
