It was late the afternoon and Josh was still at Maya's.
He hasn't moved and his parents were starting to get ready to go back home.
Since it was a weekday he had to go to school but it was put on hold.
For now.
It was around three when Cory and Riley went to the hospital and straight to Maya's ward to find Josh there.
"Shouldn't you get packing? Dad is ready to leave," Cory said.
"Think I should arrange that I just take some of my books and do schoolwork here. She needs me. I can't leave her," Josh said.
"I am here. Plus I'm her best friend," Riley said and Josh shook his head.
"You didn't see her," Josh said.
"How is she?" Cory asked.
"She's obviously still asleep but I think we can prepare ourselves for drama. She wasn't looking good when I was with her," Josh said.
"She was in shock. It will improve," Riley said.
"Okay I better go pack but I'll be back later," Josh said.
"Let's go check in on her," Cory said.
"Yeah."
Cory and Riley went to where Maya was fast asleep and Riley couldn't go further.
She had no idea what she should do and what it could possibly mean to go through everything that Maya had gone through.
