Chapter 9 - Rescue Me

Everyone was outside the building trying to figure out what to do.
Maya was inside the building in her room trying to stay as calm as she can.
But she doesn't know how anymore.
She has gone from hiding on her bed to under it to her closet.
She is scared to heck.
The men have gone in her room trying to snoop around.
With signs that there is a teenage girl.
Maya was beyond scared and didn't know what to do else.

Josh was outside with Cory, Topanga and the police.
He was going out of his mind.
His parents were at the apartment with Riley and Auggie so everyone else were at Maya's.
The police were trying to figure out how to get to Maya without actually hurting anyone.

"Why are they doing nothing?" Josh asked as he paced around.
"They have to figure out a way to get Maya out without hurting her or her mother. We have to be patient," Topanga says.
"Gosh there has to be another way," Josh said.

"Okay. I think we have a solution," the officer said and everyone gathered around.
"One of you need to be with her to insure her safety. After that I let three of my men go in. We then get the men and after that we take both Maya and her mother to the hospital," he said.
"Let's do it," Josh said.
"How safe is it for her mother?" Topanga asked.
"She won't get hurt. Neither the girls will," he said.
"Okay. Who is going in?" Cory asked.
"I think your brother should," he said.
"What do I have to do?"

It was ten maybe fifteen minutes later.
Maya was still in the closet trembling from the shock.
She doesn't know what to do and she doesn't want to stay there forever.
She hears a noise in her room and tears instantly stream.
She can't take it anymore.
But it was dead quiet as well which wasn't normal.
She wondered who it was but didn't pay attention.
There was a knock on the closet door.

"Maya," Josh said and Maya sigh.

She knew who it was.
She quickly opened the door and Josh came in.
He locked it and immediately took Maya in his arms.

"It's okay. This nightmare is almost over," Josh said trying to calm her down.
"Listen to me. There are going to be shots and very loud noises. Your mother will be fine. I promise. You need to stay quiet, okay?"

Maya just nod and instantly heard gunshots.
Josh held her very tight and very close to him.
She was trembling, shaking, in shock everything at the same time.
But he knew the only way of getting her save was for her to go through this thing.
After awhile the gunshots stopped and both Maya and Katy were taking to the hospital.
After this nobody knows how it will end.
Maya could have scars for life and even if she doesn't want to give everything out.
