Chapter 9

“Anne. Long time no see.” Bradley said.

I flustered and looked back at the group to see them looking at the situation with confused/ knowing gazes.

“Uh, Bradley. H-hi.” I stuttered.

“What are you doing here?” He asked as he looked over my shoulder.

“We’re here for the game and some promotional things. What are YOU doing here?” I asked.

“I’m a part of the team?” He said matter-of- factly. Bradley placed his hand on my shoulder and tried to pull me away from the group to assumingly talk.

“I think we should talk.” Bradley whispered.

I shook my head no and looked down. I noticed Holland, Crystal, and both Tyler’s had stopped watching us and were talking to some players instead.

Bradley grabbed my upper arm and tried to pull me off to the side.

I struggled to get away from his grasp. In the blink of an eye, Dylan, Stephen, and Colton appeared from behind me.

“Hey man! Let’s all be chill here.” Colton said.

Bradley let go of my arm and I took a few steps back. Dylan grabbed my hand and squeezed it reassuringly.

“Aw, is this your new boyfriend Annie?” Bradley teased.

“Only people I like it can call me Annie.” I corrected.

“That hurt, right here.” Bradley pointed to his heart.

I rolled my eyes at him.

“Bradley, you better not be harassing those wolf kids!” An older man, assumingly the coach, yelled.

Bradley glanced behind him and smirked. “I gotta go warm up, but it was nice to meet all of you.”

“Too bad the feeling isn’t mutual.” Dylan murmured.

Bradley seemed to not be fazed by the comment and added, “I would say bye to you, Anne, but I know I’ll be seeing you very soon..”

With that, he walked off.

“He’s weird.” Stephen said.

“You got that right.”

--

“This is kind of surreal!” I exclaimed over the many photographers yelling at us as we walked to the VIP area.

“You might as well get used to it, you’re famous now.” Crystal said.

I smiled at that comment then continued on.

The flash of the camera’s were actually blinding so I was having a hard time seeing where I was going.

Posey grabbed my hand and led me. He must have saw that I was having problems. Tyler, Crystal, and I got separated from the group and a herd of paparazzi found us. Of course, we didn’t have security with us.

Relief flooded through me as I saw the marker for the VIP area.

We crossed the velvet ropes and the photographers finally gave up and left.

“Okay, that was insane.” I said, out of breath.

“You looked like you were about to faint, you shoulda seen your face!” Tyler laughed.

Crystal smacked him on the back of the head. “Leave the poor girl alone.” She said.

“I’m sorry, Anne. How can I ever make it up to you?” Tyler said dramatically.

I shrugged my shoulders and turned my back towards him. “You will not be forgiven, Mr.Posey.” I said, playing along.

Tyler tackled me and engulfed me in a hug. “Can’t. Breathe.” I choked out.

“Say you forgive me!” He yelled.

“I forgive you!” I said.

He loosened up and smiled down at me.

“No comment.” Crystal said from over her shoulder as she walked down the hallway.

--

“What happened to you guys? We were about to file a missing persons report!” Hoechlin said.

“Yeah I’m sure you were.” I said, sarcastically.

We actually got lost again trying to find our VIP box. Smooth, I know.

I sat down in the seat beside Dylan and saw the game had just started.

“Hey babe.” He leaned in to kiss me.

“AWW.” Stephen and Holland exclaimed from behind us.

I rolled my eyes and tried to pay attention to the game. Baseball makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to me.

I stiffened as the announcer said that Bradley was up next to bat.

“I think I’m gonna go get a drink.” I said, getting up.

Most of everybody was sitting in the seats overlooking the field, but a couple people were at the in-suite bar.

Even though I’m only 20, I say this situation calls for a drink. I grabbed a bottle of vodka and a glass then prepared to pour it.

“How about you don’t do that?” Dylan suddenly appeared beside me.

“Woah, where’d you come from?” I asked, surprised by his sudden appearance.

“Well when two people love each other very much,” Dylan started.

“No, not that you dumbass!” I laughed.

Dylan laughed and took the bottle from me. “You, are not going to consume any of this.”

“Why not?” I pouted.

“Because you’re too pretty to be drinking such an ugly drink.” Dylan said. Okay, that may have not made a lot of sense. That was still sweet.

“Well, you’re no fu-“ Dylan cut me off by smashing his lips against mine.

He put his hand on the small of my back as I leaned into him.

“Now what were you saying?”
