Feels Like This by Maisie Peters^

"My baby is going off to her last year of college!" Jordan wiped her eyes then pulls Kaylee into a hug.

I yawned as I watch them. I couldn't help but smile as Kaylee looks over at me. She walks over and pulls me into hug.

"Have a great day, kiddo."

She gave me a look but smiles in return. "You too, oldie." She stuck her tongue out but ran out of the kitchen yelling. "I love you!"

Jordan shook her head as she poured another cup of coffee. I stood there, watching as she looks outside the window.

I studied her features until she caught me staring. She raises an eyebrow, but I only smile at her. "What, Alexis?"

I shrug. "I don't know, Jordan." I took a sip of coffee before I was being poked in my side. "Stop!" I move away from her as she was smiling. "You're mean."

"Take that back." She said. I shook my head, smiling. "Alexis, take it back."

I smirk. "Or what?"

She sat her cup down and I knew it was about to get bad. I ran behind the counter as she was standing on the other side. She was watching my every move and it was making her look intimidating as hell.

We circled around the counter for a moment until we both stop to stare at each other. "Come here."

I shook my head. "Hell no." I took a sip of my coffee. "Ah." I smiled.

She quickly ran around the counter, not giving me enough time to react. She pinned me against the counter and I smiled at her.

"Now I got you." She said.

I chuckle. "So? What are you going to do?"

She held my sides, which made a tingle go down my body but I hid it as I was watching her. The way she was staring at me had my knees weak and my heart pounding.

Even at fifty five, she was so damn gorgeous.

They say older women are the best looking and Jordan is living proof of it. She has a great body for her age, she looks so young and she's active.

Yes, you heard correctly, Jordan Grace is active.

She loves hiking. She likes swimming. She loves traveling, when she can. She likes everything that she never did years ago.

She has changed a lot.

But she was still Jordan.

Her body was practically pressed against mine and I could hear my heart in my ears. Having her so close makes me want to fucking pass out.

She leans towards me and I could smell her perfume, which drove me crazy. She was closing the gap between our lips and I was more than ready for the explosion in my heart that was about to happen.

Then, her phones rings.

She steps away from me and I grab ahold of the counter for support. I tried calming my nerves but it was hard to do when all I wanted to do was faint.

I watch as she answers her phone and I slowly took a sip of my coffee, which spilled on me since my hands were shaking so bad.

I looked down and noticed the coffee stain on my shirt. I grabbed a napkin and wiped it the best I could then caught Jordan watching me.

She continued to talk on the phone as my heart was trying to go back to normal. The coffee that spilled on me was hot as hell and it was soaking through my shirt, which didn't feel good by the way.

I took another sip then watched as Jordan walked over to the window and looked out, still talking on the phone.

Staring at her, I was completely mesmerized by her beauty. Everything about Jordan was so mesmerizing. She was the definition of perfect and a lot of people couldn't say that if they went through what I did.

The one thing that I learned over the years, is that some people would jump out of the boat in the first week knowing Jordan. They would call it quits and leave the situation on the first day.

But I'm not those people.

I stayed and I'm sure glad I did.

Seeing her now, I'm so glad I never gave up what I wanted. Because at the end of the day, I got exactly what I wanted.

After she hung up, she turns towards me and I couldn't help but smile. "Who was that?"

"Our therapist."

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention..

Jordan and I have a therapist. We visit her every week and even though I hate it so much, it's helping a lot.

I remember when Jordan never believed in therapists. She thought it was stupid and never even thought about going to one with the shit she was going through years ago.

Of course Casey had to get us one cause she said she couldn't handle us since she does that on a daily basis.

"What did she want?"

She runs her hands down her face. "Our appointment is tomorrow at two."

Nodding, I took another sip of my coffee. "Awesome." I said sarcastically.

She chuckles then walks over and wraps her arms around my neck. She smiles at me with our faces dangerously close to each other. I set my coffee on the counter then wrapped my arms around her back and we stay in that position for a while.

Our relationship, friendship or whatever this was, is a little confusing to most people. Casey thinks it toxic, which her opinions are invalid anyways. She was here when we went through so much shit and she's been dealing with it for years, along with us.

We're finally happy and if nobody can respect that, then they need to leave us the hell alone.

Jordan placed her head against my shoulder and I couldn't help but smile. I rub small circles on her back and I stared at the wall across the kitchen.

This was happiness.

When Kaylee came home from her first day of college, Jordan started hitting her with the questions. I watched in amusement as Kaylee was standing there, trying to answer every question the best she could.

"Mom! Chill! I can't.. I'm confused."

Chuckling, I watched them from the kitchen table. Jordan asked how her day was and if she met any friends.

I heard Kaylee say that she met this girl in college and they hit it off pretty well. She also said that she invited her over today.

Watching Jordan, she told her that it was ok and she couldn't wait to meet her. I smiled as Kaylee ran out of the kitchen and Jordan turns then catches me watching her.

Standing up, I pushed the chair under the table. "I better get going."

"Do you have to?" Jordan asks as she walks over towards me.

I smiled as she wraps her arms around me and hugs me. I kiss the side of her head as she pulls back. "I'll be back. Just gotta take care of some things."

"Hurry back."

Smiling, I pulled a strand of hair behind her ear. "I will."
