"Hey, Alexis."
I turn around to see Danny walking over towards me with a smile on his face. "Oh, hey." I haven't really seen him around lately because I don't get out much.
"What's up?" He asks.
Shrugging, I sighed. "Nothing much. Grocery shopping."
He nods. "Cool. I'm guessing you don't get out much, huh?"
"Why do you ask?"
"I hardly see you around."
Giving him a confused look, I slightly smiled. "Stalker much? Maybe I don't live around here."
Chuckling slightly, he rubs the back of his neck. "I mean.. it's not like I was looking for you every time I was out. I just.. I don't know, ok?"
I slightly laughed at him. "Ok, I'll let it slide this time.. stalker."
"Shut up. Anyways, can I tag along?"
I watched him for a moment. "You wanna come with me shopping?" He nods. "Why?"
He shrugs. "I'm bored."
"Alright." I said without saying another word. I was already here at the grocery store anyways.
We walked in and I grabbed a cart before pushing it down the aisles and looking around. I knew that Jordan gave me a list, but I really don't understand half the shit she has written on here.
There was a lot of junk food though, and it really didn't seem like something Jordan would buy. Maybe Kaylee wrote it down when we weren't looking,
"So, what are you getting?" Danny looks over my shoulder at the list that was in my hands.
I stare at him as I came to a stop. "You know something, you're really annoying." I smiled.
He looks at me and places his hand on his chest. "That's offensive. But I'll take it as a compliment."
Shaking my head, I went through several aisles and grabbed what was on the list. Before I even made it to the middle of the list, the cart was already almost to the top.
"Damn, this is the most shopping I've did in years. My mom used to take me all the time and she would do the exact same thing you're doing."
I shook my head. "Poor woman. Having to take your annoying ass everywhere." I laughed.
"Meanie." He said.
I finally came to the end of the list and I was thanking God above because I was so damn tired of this shit. I hated grocery shopping more than anything but Jordan hates public places so of course I have to do this for her.
As the woman behind the register was scanning the items, I saw Danny looking at them then he looks at me. "This is a lot of shit. Are you sure you have enough money?" He smiles.
"Yep. I have Jordan's card." I smile.
"Who's Jordan?" He asks. I look at him for a moment then he slightly chuckles. "I'm sorry. I ask too many questions."
Nodding, I look over at him. "A little. I mean, we barely know each other and we met a few days ago."
"I like getting to know people."
"What if I'm a serial killer?"
I look up and caught the cashier staring at us then averted her eyes quickly. Danny chuckles as he looks at me. "If you were, you wouldn't say that out loud."
"Fair enough." I said. "But still.. you know nothing about me. I might be crazy."
He smiles then shrugs. "I like crazy."
Shaking my head, I slid my card through the machine. "Yeah, you won't like that kind of crazy, buddy."
After the card went through, the cashier gave me the receipt. "Have a great day."
"You too." I smile then grabbed the cart with all my bags in it then walked out of the store.
I walked over to my car then stopped to open the trunk with my keys. I saw Danny start grabbing bags and placing them in the trunk.
"You don't have to do that."
He smiles as he keeps grabbing bags. "I'm being a good friend."
I left it alone and grabbed a few bags, placing them in the trunk. After the last bag, I shut the trunk and looked over at Danny. "Thanks." I smiled.
"No problem." He smiles.
I look around for a moment before looking back at him. "So, what are you doing here?"
He looks behind him then back at me. "Oh, I'm here with my sister. She had to run to grab some groceries and I stayed out in the car. That's when I saw you."
I nodded as I watched him. "Cool. I better get going."
"Ok, bye Alexis." He smiles then waves at me before walking away with the cart.
Getting in my car, I placed the seat belt then backing out of my parking spot. I looked behind me and saw Danny walking into the store and even though he was trying his best to hide it, I knew he liked me.
I felt kind of bad for him but I'll tell him one day, I guess.
-
Jordan was looking through the bags as they were sitting on the counters. I watch as she'd go through one bag, then when she didn't see something she wanted, she'd go through another bag until she found something she was looking for.
She caught me staring and looked at me. "What?"
"What are you doing?" I chuckled.
Smiling, she holds the bag of chips in her hands. "I wanted some chips."
Watching her, I couldn't help but feel my heart swell inside of my chest. All the love I had for this woman, it's so fucking crazy how she makes me feel sometimes.
After a few minutes, we put everything away. I made sure the cabinet was closed as I turned around to see Jordan smiling at me, holding a chip out towards me.
"Try it."
I grab her wrist but she pulls away. "No, I wanna feed you."
Giving her a confused look, I smiled. "Why?"
"Just open your mouth."
I opened my mouth as she placed the chip in my mouth. I chewed then swallowed, watching her stare at me, I couldn't help but smile.
She placed the bag of chips down on the counter then turns towards me before wrapping her arms around my neck. I watch her for a moment as she was staring at me, a small smile on her lips, leaving myself to smile also.
Pressing her forehead against mine, I could hear my heart beat in my ears. I placed my hands on her hips and we stayed in that position for a while until she slowly leans back and looks at me.
I watch as she leans towards me, smelling her perfume in the process of her being so damn close to me.
Everything was happening in slow motion as her lips slowly touched mine, having an explosion set off inside my chest as we moved our lips together.
She leans back and stares at me for the longest time. I stared into her deep chocolate eyes as we weren't saying anything, just gazing at each other.
"It's time for us to talk."
