Better With You by Ollie^
"Do you have to sit like that?" Jordan asks as we're both sitting on the couch in the therapist office.
I look down at how I was sitting; criss-cross. I look back at her and shrug. "I'm comfortable."
Looking at how she was sitting, I noticed that she had her legs crossed over each other but that was mainly because she chose to wear a skirt.
Not sure why, but whatever.
"Where is she?" I asked impatiently.
"Give her time."
I look over at Jordan. "Oh, I'm giving her time alright. Wasted time."
She shakes her head as soon as someone came walking through the door. I look over at our therapist, Mrs. Gabe, walking in with a smile on her face. "Sorry I'm late." She sits down in her chair across from us. "How are you doing today?"
"Good." Jordan says.
She looks over at me, waiting for my answer. "Good." I mimicked.
I sat there as she was taking out her tablet, getting ready to write all our problems down. I watch as she crosses her legs then smiles at her.
"Ok, so last week we talked with Alexis about everything. So, this week we'll talk to Jordan." She smiles over at her.
Crossing my arms, I look over as Jordan was smiling at her as Mrs. Gabe was asking questions. I couldn't understand why she was enjoying this because this was complete torture for me.
"How are you emotionally?"
I watch Jordan for a moment. "Great, honestly."
Looking back at the Mrs. Gabe, she smiles then writes something down. "When was your last fight?" She looks between us.
I glanced over at Jordan as she looked over at me. When she looked back at the therapist, she shrugged. "I couldn't say. We haven't had any arguments lately."
Mrs. Gabe smiled then writes something down in her tablet. "That's great to hear." She looks up at Jordan then starts asking her more questions, based upon her emotional state and everything like that.
When Casey made the first appointment for us, she must have told them some crazy ass shit about us. Mrs. Gabe is alright, she's a cool woman and everything but she basically asks the same questions every week.
Not sure if that's how they work this is the first time I've ever been to one, but it's ridiculous and it's getting old.
When we were done, I was more than ready to get the hell away from there. Two hours is too long to be sitting in a room with the same woman, asking the same questions.
"Alexis, slow down."
I stop to see Jordan walking towards me. When she reached me, she grabs my hand and we both walk out of the building together.
"That was stupid." I said as we were walking through the parking lot.
Jordan looks over at me. "What was stupid about it?"
Shaking my head, I look at her. "Everything. The woman asks the same questions every time."
"That's her job." She smiles.
When we reached the car, Jordan was still holding onto my hand as she was unlocking the passenger door. She opens it then lets my hand go as I slide in the seat.
I watch her walk around until she's unlocking the driver side, then getting in. I look out the window as she starts the car then leaves the parking lot.
