"Izuku, are you ready?" Shouto called up the stairs, "were running late and we're picking up Bakugou and Kirishima on the way." The tall male turned to the coat hanger by the door to put on his long beige coat.
No answer came from the upper floor. "Izuku?" Shouto made his way slowly up the stairs to check on the small boy.
"I'm here, I'm coming!" His joyful voice lightened up the house in a second. He came skipping down the stairs with a full suitcase.
"Watch out! You'll fall!" Arm stretched out in front of him, Shouto reached to grab the small boy. As if his lover followed his words, Izuku fell down the stairs, suitcase rolling down not far behind.
Shouto had caught him right on time, but inevitably fell over too, with Izuku on top of him.
Slowly, Izuku lifted his head off of his loved one that had caught him. "Are you alright?" Groggy words left his mouth as he looked down at the heterochromatic boy.
"Yes, I'm alright. I hope I cushioned your fall." Their eyes met and Izuku smirked at what Shouto had said. "Always thinking of others, Shou" Izuku stood, stretching out a hand to help up the boy up off the ground.
"Thanks, now let's get in the car, we're running late." The taller boy left the room as the smaller followed closely behind.
After a short drive, the two boys reached the other couple's home. They had been rooming together for a while.
"Why the fuck have you got a suitcase, Deku?" Bakugou asked with an unkind tone, as he normally would.
"Hello to you too, Kacchan," Izuku leaned out the car window and waved to him and Kirishima.
"Hey, Midoriya! How are you, Todoroki?" Kirishima patted Shouto's shoulder before entering the back of Shouto's red sports car, "Alrighty! How long does it take to get there then?" The spiky redhead plugged in his seatbelt and patted the seat next to him for the hotheaded blonde to join him.
"It should take around three hours to get there." Shouto replied without expression.
"Which means we have tonnes of time to spend together!" Izuku turned himself around to look at the boys behind him.
It was clear in Bakugou's face that he was not amused. Spending too much time with Izuku could lead to terrible things, and it never helped if 'icy-hot' was with him.
Half an hour had gone by in the silent and - soon to be violent - car journey if no one made the ride more fun and lively.
"Hey! I know, let's all play our favourite song!" Izuku was the first to try lightening the boring mood, "I'll go first."
On his phone, the green haired boy selected Shouto's car to connect to with Bluetooth.
The song 'High Hopes' by Panic! At The Disco began playing and Izuku was in his element. The poor boy couldn't sing but he tried anyway. No matter what he sang, Shouto never told the small boy to stop. "Had to have high high hopes~" The green eyed boy held that last note for a dramatically long time before brushing aside what he had just done. Shouto was actually smiling after his lover's performance. Kirishima was truly impressed, but Bakugou had already had enough. He was ready to rip out Izuku's tongue just to make him stop.
"Why do you like that song, Midoriya?" Kirishima asked with an intrigued tone.
"Well, I had I hopes to do well in school... high hopes to become a hero... and now I have new high hopes." A small smile formed on the small green boy's face. He looked to Shouto and kept his smile, reaching to touch his lover's hand, speaking to him without words.
