Chapter 14

Tris POV

After school I get stuck into my homework and then get ready for my first tutoring session with Tobias  

I am still shocked he stuck up for me, I mean it was nice but unexpected coming from him 

I walk to the library, as it is close to my house, and try to calm my nerves as I walk 

I arrive early so I'm not stressing and I have enough time to browse some of the books they have available before I sit out at a desk and get my books and calculator out so I look organised 

I wonder what he will ask me?

What does part of calculus does he need help with?

What if I can't answer his questions? 

Doubts run coarse through my mind as the minutes tick by, the time drawing closer 

I check my watch 

5:59 

He will be here any moment 

Except he doesn't show 

I wait and wait and wait 

I check my phone - nothing 

Where is he?

I give up at 6:30 and head home fuming

I can't believe he stood me up 

Except it's Tobias, what should I have expected?  

This is exactly what he would do 

I bet he doesn't even want to pass calculus 

I bet if I tutored him he wouldn't even try so whats the point?

But the reminder doesn't ease my anger the slightest as I storm through the door 

"What's up with you?" My twin brother asked

"Nothing" I tell him and stomp up stairs, I can't be bothered explaining it too him 

I open my bedroom door and fling myself onto my bed and pull out my phone 

You at the party? I text Kate 

Yep The response comes instantly 

That bad? I ask, Kate barely uses her phone so for her to reply instantly means alot 

Please tell me your plans changed?  She asks 

I don't know anyone here  She sends seconds after 

I'll be there ASAP I reply and fly down the stairs as she texts the address 

"Can you drive me here?" I ask my brother, showing him the address  

"Sure" he mumbles " I have to go get something anyway"
