Months have gone by and the tension in the house has only gotten worse. Corey doesn't speak to Joey unless he's talking to him in the studio. They are almost done with the album and I can't wait to get back home to Iowa.

The chilly fall air surrounded me as I sat outside smoking a couple cigarettes. The guys are all recording so I finally have some alone time and time to think. Since the incident with Joey, Corey has been acting distant around me. I'm not sure if he's just upset with himself over that night or if he blames me.

I'm tired of my thoughts consuming me like they do. As I rubbed my eyes, I decided to take a walk. Maybe it will help clear my mind.

The mansion doesn't have any close neighbors so walking down the road should be uninterrupted. I started walking and could hear someone talking behind me. Just great.

I turned around and saw Mick and Sid standing on the front porch. Bith of them watching me.

"Where you going?" Sid yelled in my direction.

"For a walk. Is that okay, dad?" I said sarcastically.

Mick was trying to hid the fact that he was laughing.

Sid didn't look amused.
"Care if I join ya? The guys won't need me today."

I was irritated that he asked; but Sid has always been good to me. So I nodded my head and he came running down the yard to catch up to me.

"So tell me all your troubles Steph. I can tell somethings going on" Sid said while we continued walking.

"It's nothing, Sid. Just stupid shit." I said while lighting up another cigarette.

"It has to be something Steph. You've been smoking a pack a day and that's not like you."

I stopped and looked at him.
"Does he blame me?" I asked quietly.

"For what?" Sid now had a concerned look on his face.

"The whole Joey thing that happened a few months ago. Ever since that night, Corey hardly looks at me anymore. Once in a while he will give me a quick kiss but that's it." Tears are starting to form in my eyes. I didn't realize it was bothering me this bad.

Sid wrapped his arms around me and hugged me.

"Steph, he doesn't blame you for anything. He had a major fight with one of his best friends. And this album hasn't been the easiest to record either." Sid pulled away while holding onto my shoulders.
"Listen, I'll talk to Corey if you want me to. Just give it some time and everything will get better. I promise"

"You don't have to do that Sidney. I'll talk to him tonight before bed. That way he can't ignore me." I let out a small giggle and so did Sid.

"That's our girl. Now come on, let's finish our walk."

Sid and I walked around for about an hour before we started back to the mansion. It felt good to talk things out with someone who would answer me. I just hope Corey will open up to me tonight. If he doesn't, I might just head back to Iowa without saying anything to the guys.

*Later that night*

"Why won't you talk to me?" I yelled at Corey.

Once the guys were done, we all ate dinner then went to bed. When Corey and I got to our room, I started asking him what was going on and why he would ignore everything that had to deal with me. He stayed silent and just looked at the floor.

"Stop ignoring me Taylor!" I yelled while standing in front of him.

"Stop fucking yelling!" Finally, I got a response out of him. He sat there, running his fingers through his hair, and looking like he was searching for what to say next.

"I'll stop once you talk to me or atleast give me some damn answers." And that set him off, he jumped off the bed and pinned me against the wall.

"You think this has been easy Stephanie? I fucking love you and I beat the shit out of my best friend because of you." Corey kept his teeth clinched shut while he talked.

I tried to turn my head away from him. He turns into a different person when he is mad or upset and I hate to look at him when it happens.

"Look at me Stephanie!" He growled while punching his fist into the wall.

I slowly turned to look him in the eye. His blue eyes are dark and dull. Full of anger. I'm terrified for what might happen if I don't listen.

"Fuck" He mumbled under his breath before backing up and letting his arms fall down to his sides. He laid down on the bed while putting his hands over his face.

I stood there, still against the wall, scared to move or breathe the wrong way. Corey sat up and looked at me like I've never seen before. It was a mixture of sadness, anger, and love.

"Baby, come here please." He asked while holding out his hand for me to take.

I slowly moved away from the wall, while holding my tears back, and grabbed his hand.

"I'm sorry baby. I don't know what come over me." He kissed my hand and gently pulled me down so I was sitting on his lap.
"It will never happen again. Please forgive me." He said while holding me and putting his head on my chest.

"I love you Corey" I whispered to him. His grip around me got tighter as I out my arms around his neck.

"I love you too. And there's something I've been meaning to ask you babe." Corey said while moving me off of his lap. He dug in his pocket and pulled out a small black box.

"Corey, what is that?" I asked while pointing at the box. He smiled at me and opened it towards me. Inside was an engagement ring; a black band with black stones all around the band.

"Stephanie, I've loved you from afar and I love you with all I am. Will you marry me?"

I couldn't speak. Tears are flowing and all I could do was shake my head yes uncontrollably until he placed the ring on my finger. We kissed with so much passion that it made up for the past few months.

"I love you Corey. More than you'll ever know." I said to him in between kisses.

"Same here babe." That devilish grin that I've missed so much filled his face.

The rest of the night was filled with passion and lust. I never want to miss the feeling of having him on top of me ever again.

Hard to believe I'm about to be Mrs. Corey Taylor.
