The telltale voice of his eldest brother greeted Jungkook. His tone sounded sweet and... pleading? An odd occurence, he admits. "Kookie, may you please buy me a new box of earphones? I forgot to buy one yesterday," Seokjin entered his room, standing right outside the ajar door as he stated his request. Picking some money out of his wallet, he handed it to his brother, "Here's the money. Go buy something for yourself as well."
Perking an eyebrow, he gazed at his older brother questioningly, "Why is he being so nice right now?" He wanted to ask, yet he didn't, fearing that it would sour his mood. He walked out of the house, carrying on with his brother's order. A nearby convenience store should have some earphones on sale, right?
The chiming bell alerted the woman standing in the cashier of a customer, a brief eye contact ensued between them. Jungkook paid no mind to it, searching the shelves for the item he's looking for. Grabbing the goods, he approached the counter, gently placing down the objects for scanning.
"Here's your total, sir," the girl informs him, cash register noises accompanied her sweet voice. Giving her the payment, he left the store as soon as she gave his change. Raindrops falling from the sky saturated his clothes during his trip back home; he should've brought an umbrella when he noticed the gray clouds covering the skies.
a few moments later
"I'm back," panting, he greets his brothers as he slammed the door open, entering their home in a hurry. Cold droplets falls down to the floor, creating a trail of water behind him.
"Go dry yourself, you look like a mess," Seokjin tossed him a towel, ushering for him to wipe the excess moisture away. Jungkook treaded to his room, changing into a dry set of clothes.
"Are any of us aware how the girls look like? I don't think we're familiar with their names, much more their faces," Taehyung asked out of the blue, thinking about fulfilling their mission. They shouldn't be wasting too much time, life is an unpredictable thing, after all.
"Now that you've mentioned it, we don't," was the reply of Namjoon, munching on a cookie he found in their pantry. He must've forgotten to worry about such things due to his fascination with the new realm they're currently residing in.
"We need not to worry about that. Father did say there are two supers living here in the meantime. We can just find them, ask them about it, and the job's done," Yoongi joined in the conversation, nonchalantly dismissing the problem aside.
"Right... Where do we begin on finding them?" Hoseok interrogated, skeptical about Yoongi's answer. They have to find those individuals, where would they even start looking from?
"Hmm... Perhaps asking around would help?" Jimin said in an unsure tone, not realizing that his idea was a bit... futile and ridiculous. A loud sigh from Yoongi signalled Jimin that his suggestion was not an answer his brother would view as decent.
"Yeah, because asking a random stranger if they encountered someone with supernatural abilities is COMPLETELY normal. Thanks for the suggestion, genius," Yoongi remaked, sarcasm coating each word. It was common knowledge amongst them that humans in this dimension don't possess the same abilities they do. Jimin pursed his lips, halting himself from uttering complaints towards his brother.
"Wouldn't calling Dad resolve this?" It was Taehyung's turn to ask. Yoongi narrowed his eyes, staring incredulously at the man. Bluntly, he replied, refuting the theory even before it can be proven.
"Firstly, our dad is in another dimension. We bought phones from this world, since the phones we have in Arcania would be useless here, from what I assume. If this realm's phones can reach Arcania's cell towers-quite unlikely if I'm gonna be honest-then maybe you can try that idea of yours. Do you even know our dad's number?"
