Chapter 10

"Regarding the injection you just gave me... Turns out, it has a fluid that can remove someone's power."

"We've already figured that out. Is there any cure for it?"

"Well... not yet. The scientists are working on it. But, don't worry. Jimin will get his powers back, I hope."

"Really? How so?"

"Well, as I mentioned before, they mixed a fluid that can PERMANENTLY remove someone's power. In order to achieve this result, they would need to find the right ingredients and mix it with the fluid. The problem is, nobody knows what ingredients are needed to achieve the fluid's max potential."

"Interesting. How long will Jimin be powerless?"

"1 month. Yep, approximately 1 month, based on the scientists research. Look, I gotta go now, Joonie. I have a lot of things to do here. Stay safe, son."

With that, their call ended. Namjoon looked at his brothers, and delivered the news.

"Jimin, you'll get your powers back in 1 month."

"Oh. How sure are you about this news?" Jimin tilted his head, interrogating his hyung. He figured that this would be a good opportunity to annoy someone today.. Namjoon pursed his lips together, staring at his brother.

"Dad and Arcanian scientists are the sources of this news. Do you need more proof?"

"No. That's a relief," Jimin smiled. It is indeed a relief for him.

"Guys, hurry up. We still have to find jobs, or else we won't last long in this realm," Seokjin cut their conversation short. Jimin and Jungkook hastily ingested their foods.

Timeskip to Monday (since it's Saturday here. And yes, they've already found jobs. Pretty fast, huh?) Time check: 4:30 a.m.

The sound of Jungkook's alarm clock woke him up. Still drowsy, he prepared his clothes for the first day of his job. Yawning, he checked the phone for the time. After a few seconds of contemplating whether waking up this early is a good idea, he walked slowly to the bathroom, looking like a zombie chasing after a balloon, ok that doesn't make sense. Fortunately for him, no one is awake yet. He can hog the bathroom for a long time. With that being said, he spent a good 30 minutes in the shower, enjoying the feeling of cold water getting rid of his sleepiness.

As he got out of the bathroom, he was greeted by his Hoseok and Yoongi hyung, looking just as sleepy as he did earlier. Apparently, Jimin is already awake. Therefore, the other bathroom is occupied as of the moment. Yoongi lazily went to the vacant bathroom, accidentally slamming the door shut. Pretty sure it would wake the others up.

An hour later... Timecheck: 6:00 a.m.

"Time to go to work, see ya later, guys," Hoseok bid farewell as he and the others grabbed their bags. They went out together, but soon separated ways. Let me tell your their jobs.

Jungkook applied at the convenience store, same shift with Lisa. Seokjin and Taehyung worked at the café, same shift with Jisoo. Namjoon and Hoseok is working at a fast food chain, don't ask why. Jimin is working as a cashier at a grocery store, the one where Hoseok shopped at. And lastly, Yoongi miraculously got qualified to work at a call center agency as a bodyguard. I almost forgot. Remember when they said they only needed part-time jobs? Let's just say it didn't go as planned. All of them will be working from morning to evening. Yep, even the maknae. His and Lisa's shift is from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Back to the story.

Seokjin's POV

My fellow barista is currently teaching me how to operate the coffee machine. I got hired as a barista, whilst Taehyung got hired as a server. Since it's already 6:30 a.m. in the morning, Taehyung is arranging the seats and tables, while I'm stuck here learning how to use this coffee machine. (You're probably wondering, how many workers are there in the café? Well, before, we only have 1 barista, 1 manager, and 1 cashier. Which is why the manager is helping around. And the café is pretty famous. So, add Taehyung and Seokjin there, and you're good to go.)
