Jisoo's POV
8:40 p.m., finally, after 15 hours and 40 minutes, the café is allowed to close. I sat at the nearest seat first, arranging my bag and letting myself rest for a while.
"Bye guys!" I waved at my workmates, putting my cap on.
"Bye Jisoo!" One of my coworkers greeted me back. Getting out of the cafe, I decided to take a little stroll on the park first.
I walked beside the river, admiring the night sky and taking a little breath from what seems like a suffocating reality. The wind blew, making my hair fly everywhere.
Oh my... I just combed my hair!
Seconds later, I heard some footsteps probably a few feet away from me. At first, I ignored it, but an uncomfortable feeling just started growing inside my stomach. Something doesn't feel right. Clutching on my phone, I dialled my new friend's number. Sure, it doesn't sound like a good idea, but I have no choice. I was able to confirm that they are indeed following me once I secretly took a glance on them.
"Hello? Who's this?" Seokjin's calm voice spoke out.
I felt an increase on their paces. As a result, I also walked faster.
"Hi, Seokjin. It's me, Jisoo."
Kim Jisoo... this is a bad idea.
"Oh, hello! Is there any problem?"
"Well... I'm not sure though. I don't know, I just feel like the men behind me are... intentionally following me."
"Let's see what I can do. Where are you?"
"I'm at the park beside the river, near the café."
"Okie... I'll be right there," with that, Seokjin ended the call. I looked back, and saw no one. Oh.
Eh? Aish, I was just paranoid. This is why we shouldn't read too many thriller books. It's quite embarassing that I literally had to call someone I just met today. Sheez, get a hold of yourself.
I sighed in relief, standing there idly. I stopped walking to check whether my eyes were just fooling me.
"Hey."
I slightly shivered as I heard an unfamiliar voice. I whipped my head to the direction of the voice. There stood a man. I tried running to the opposite direction, only to be blocked by another man.
"Where are you going? Leaving this early?"
Then, another man appeared. He stood on my left side, which only gives me the right side as an escape route. That would've worked, if only the river isn't located on the right.
"Please, leave me alone," I asked in a small voice, only to receive a scoff and a sneer in return.
Jisoo, that's a pretty dumb idea. Do you really think they would let you go after cornering you? C'mon sis, you're smart. You can do this.
"Nah," the first man started caressing my cheeks. I harshly slapped it, out of instinct.
"You're a stubborn one, huh?" The second and third men grabbed both of my wrists, disabling me to retaliate.
"Stop! Leave me alone!" I gritred my teeth. My cap fell down, enabling me to see their faces clearly.
"Why? Why should we obey you?" The first man mocked.
ExCuSe mE?
"Leave. Her. Alone," another voice, which is most certainly from a man, joined in. I opened my eyes, not realizing that I had closed it earlier, and saw a familiar male.
