author's POV
The lone man stood still, lazily scanning his surroundings. He instantly leaped and ran, dodging every arrow. A stream of water appeared out of thin air.
It formed a water bubble, large enough to fit a person. He hopped on it, and charged towards Jimin who's aiming for him yet again.
Together, they collided at a nearby tree, continuing their battle despite the pain they are feeling due to the fall.
Seokjin is having the time of his life. For some reason, his enemy's unpredictable moves makes him enthusiastic on defeating him.
If I remember correctly, his name is Mark, a close friend of the king, Seokjin remembered the information.
"You don't give up, do you?" Mark frowned, growing tired of his resilient enemy. Seokjin simply proceeded, not caring about the conversation.
Seokjin jumped to a nearby tree, evading the shurikens coming to his way. He charged towards Mark, ready to slash him. The man simpered, and fired his gun. Hitting Seokjin right on the stomach, he grabbed his dagger and stabbed Jin's left arm. The poison kicked in quickly, leaving Seokjin immobile on the ground. Blood started dripping down his wounds.
"You should be thankful I didn't kill you yet," he looked down, wiping the blood off his knife. Just as he was about to finish him off, a bright light interrupted him. A sword bounced his dagger off, temporarily disarming him. Finally, the light went away.
Namjoon casted a barrier, protecting him and his brother.
"Hyung, hold on, alright?" Namjoon said in a shaky voice. His brother almost died, and for sure, the masked man he had left would rush in and attack them both.
Jin took a deep breath, and shakily stood up. It didn't matter whether he was shot or a paralyzing liquid is circulating in his body. As long as he's breathing, he can fight.
"Wow, what a touching team-up," Mark wiped off an imaginary tear from his eye, "Kind of cheesy, ya know."
Just as Namjoon had predicted, the masked man, who finally took off his mask, came rushing in with his shadow lion as a mount. Jin braced himself to fight, meanwhile Namjoon calculated every possible path for the both of them to get outta here alive. No, escaping isn't really that much of an option, because they'd probably be back to square one.
"Let's go," Jin muttered. Namjoon nodded. They charged on opposite directions, and helped each other when they needed it.
Taehyung, with blazing hands, accidentally touched a tree and set it ablaze. Ignoring the flare, he rushed at her in full speed. Of course, she isn't really the type of person whose reflexes kind of delay. She grabbed the chance to attack him close-range.
He ducked, and grabbed a fallen sturdy branch to hit her legs. Her spear changed direction and stabbed his back, at least that's what she was aiming for. He caught the blade with his hand. Kind of not a good idea since the blade is too sharp.
He manuevered behind her, elbowed the side of her neck, and finally pointed his knife on her throat.
"Checkmate," he whispered. The both of them soon smelled something unpleasing. Looking up, he saw the fire rapidly spreading throughout the whole forest. The thick, dark grey smoke started covering the sky.
"Shoot, I'm deadmeat," Taehyung gulped. The girl tried to break free from his grip only to be hit by a branch multiple times until she's unconcious.
