Wanted-The Dark Kingdom
Chapter 29- Putting On A Show
A wind from the North blows,
Bringing with it those who lie below.
With them, spreads the infection,
to what may be the darkest connection.
A crown forged from the tears of good and bad,
will choose the king whose army stands.
The light leads and the dark follows,
to the first jewel of the girl who borrowed
Then, the dark leads and the light follows,
to the send jewel of a man's true horror
A king shall be crowned where the first king stepped,
putting an end to their world's unrest.
I hate having to act everyday. I hate having to act like I'm okay and that pain, suffering and fear don't cage my every step and every intake of breath. Sometimes, it gets to the point where I want nothing more than to fall to my knees before Percy and just beg him to kill me because I can't live in this never-ending silence where I'm truly alone. The idea of waking up everyday to serve him and his people in silence with my head bowed and with no complaint no matter what is done to me becomes harder to bear every single day. My pain is entertaining to them. A show. That's what I do everyday. I put on a show.

Dead. Alvaro was dead. Because of him.
If Maddox hadn't ignored him and instead had stopped and chosen to listen to him, maybe Alvaro would be alive right now. Not beaten up and tortured to death.
Maddox didn't realize that he had started crying until he finally looked up from Alvaro's lifeless body and felt his vision blue as he glared towards Kasdeya.
She was smiling. The scum had the nerve to smile.
"Why?" Maddox asked, hating himself for not being able to mask the weakness and desperation in his voice better.
At his wrecked state, Kasdeya only laughed.
"Answer him!" The king bellowed, making all heads in the room snap towards his direction.
Appearing unfazed from the king's rage, Kasdeay simply shrugged and said, "you're not the king the dark demigods deserve."
Gasps and whispers erupted all across the room, followed by a few snickers from Kasdeya's army.
"You're too soft hearted, you're too weak and afraid to do what is needed to eliminate the demigods of light once and for all. Instead of keeping them in the city, enslaved to serve your people, you hide them in the camp-"
"I don't have them hidden in the camp, I have them locked up there. Forced into labor, to provide the city." Percy defended.
"Ha! An excuse you use." Kasdeya said, strolling through the crowd. Maddox knew what she was doing. He knew her act. She was putting on a show for the most important and powerful demigods in the city, in order to lure them in.
