Semi-Finals 1/2

I woke up early realizing today is the semi-finals crazy huh? Never thought I'd get this far with other fighters like Samus, Captain Falcon, or Fox but I doubt I'll get into the finals though since my next match is against Pikachu, but even if I don't have high hopes to win I still decided to go into the training room to do some warmup training.

As I entered, I realized the training room was empty. I guess it wasn't too surprising since there were only four fighters who even needed to train but usually, I would see Ness and Pikachu in here every morning. I'm sure they had just overslept though so I went on with my training.

About thirty minutes before matches I saw Pikachu walk in and soon after Ness and they both looked tired too. In the middle of training, I went over to Ness to talk to him

"Are you okay? You and Pikachu look tired." I said

I saw he got a little surprised and jumped a bit when he heard me

"Oh, Samus, Pikachu, Fox, and I accidentally stayed up late training," He said with a yawn in between

"Pikachu's tired? Think I have a chance at winning now?" I asked jokingly

"Doubt it Pikachu is still Pikachu," He said still sounding tired

"Okay but honestly, If you need some rest get some before your match," I said

"Okey," he said back and we both went back to training

After a little more training I heard an announcement from the speakers "Semi-finals will begin soon."

After hearing that I went to the stage for the match with Pikachu following behind me. Once we were almost there I looked back at Pikachu and told him good luck he looked back at me and said "Pi!" giving a slight nod and we both went on stage.

Once I was on stage I looked around and saw there was an audience. I guess word finally got out about the tournament. Before the only people that'd watch us were the other fighters from the screen in the spectator's room but now there were people around the stage watching us fight. "Pika!" I heard Pikachu say trying to get my attention in a ready position. Of course, the crowd didn't bother him he was a pokemon he had fought in front of tons of crowds. Still soon after I heard him I got into a ready position too

As the match started I took out a bomb while Pikachu sent thunder jolts in my direction. I jumped over the jolts and threw the bomb at him and a boomerang both hitting him. Then I got closer and used my hook shot to grab him and I kicked him offstage. I jumped towards him ready to send him farther but instead, he hit me pushing me back to stage as he got back on stage. When we were both on stage he rushed towards me so as I got up I did a slash around me to push him off of me while I stood up. I saw there was a good amount of space between me and Pikachu that put me an advantage with my better and more projectiles so I tried to keep him at that distance hitting him with a few projectiles. But eventually, he was able to get through and hit me and started a combo like he usually did. While he did do a good amount he was acting kind of slow eventually I reacted quick enough in the air to push my sword under me and he jumped into it hitting the stage and bouncing above me so I did a spin attack up to him and somehow I had taken the first stock against Pikachu while the  audience started cheering.

After Pikachu was teleported back while he had his invincibility he shook his head in a "focus" kind of way and looked back at me ready to battle again. I immediately threw projectiles again but he avoided them and was rushing at me so I shielded and as he got closer I dodged a grab from him. As I saw him miss the grab I did three quick slashes with my sword and he was pushed back. I then rushed him but he jumped over me and summoned lightning right over me and it hit me while he waited where I was gonna land and hit me with his tail to send me up and summoned a lightning strike over me again and that took my first stock

Once I was put back on stage I heard the crowd start chanting "Pi-Ka-Chu Pi-Ka-Chu". I focused back on Pikachu and saw he was rushing toward me so I pulled out my hookshot and grabbed him and kicked him across the stage. I tried to use projectiles again but he quickly saw through it and approached me with an aerial and did a ton of quick hits. When I got out I knew one strong hit would take my stock so when he tried to hit me again I shielded blocking a hit from him and doing a strong swing from my sword and it was just strong enough to send him to the blast zone making the crowd make a combination of cheers and boos.

When Pikachu was back on stage he ran at me and grabbed me to put me into a combo of aerials. To end the combo he hit me by releasing electricity from his cheeks and like that we were back to being even. By this point, I knew projectiles would be expected so I rushed towards him and saw him do the same. We traded multiple hits projectiles and throws until both of us were quite close to being launched to the blast zone. We both ran at each other I went for a strong sword swing and he tried to hit me with electricity from his cheeks. While both attacks hit, his hit first and Pikachu was declared the winner once we both got back to stage he was declared the winner. As I went over to congratulate him I could tell that fight really tired him out but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't tired.

I left the stage to go to the spectator's room and saw Samus greet and congratulate Pikachu. Then I heard Samus call me over. It surprised me cause I hadn't ever talked to her outside our match, in fact, I hadn't talked to anyone other than ness at this tournament. I walked over and she told me I played well and started a conversation with while we waited for the next match. I guess I kinda appreciated it.
