Post Semi-Finals

Ness's P.O.V

"How do you think you're gonna do against Pikachu?" Fox asked

"Oh, did Pikachu win?"

"Yeah, did you not see it?"

"No I was asleep but I guess I expected it," I said as we walked into the spectator's room

As I was walking in Link noticed us first

"Ness! Nice job on your win."

Samus turned around to look at us with Pikachu on her shoulder. I even saw Pikachu's face turn annoyed once he saw me

"Thanks, Link." I said quickly looking away from Pikachu

"Looks like I'm against you next Link." Fox said quickly jumping into the conversation

"You're on!" Link said after turning to Fox

While the two were talking to each other Pikachu got off Samus' shoulder and tugged at her ankle while pointing at his mouth

Samus then looked back at us " Hey, we should probably go eat while we have the chance." Fox and Link paused their conversation and agreed

When we got to the dining room, it looked like Mario was giving some sort of announcement.

"Are we late?" Samus asked

"Not at all, take a seat" Mario responded

As we sat down Mario began the announcement " It seems that this tournament has become very popular. Nintendo has said they are planning another tournament with more fighters, but I can not say anything else. Have a great dinner."

After his announcement, Samus turned to me " Since they're adding more fighters can you think of any Ness? We'll probably see more pokemon and Mario characters since those are the most popular"

I quickly looked up from my steak and was about to respond with the person who messaged me with PSI but then I realized I still don't know his name. Plus, PSI is an Earthbound thing and Earthbound isn't really a huge franchise I'm lucky I'm even here having another Earthbound character is a stretch

"Um, Ness?" Samus said

"Oh sorry, I was thinking maybe Bowser and Peach? And along those lines Zelda and Ganon?" I responded

"That's actually four really good guesses. Do you think they'll add any other franchises? Isn't Fire Emblem pretty popular?"

"Fire Emblem?" I asked

"Oh, you don't know Fire Emblem? Do you not live in Japan?"

"No I'm from the US, but you don't even live on Earth how do you know about it?"

"I've got a supercomputer on my ship it's never too hard to see what Nintendo releases." She said as we finished up eating

Soon Fox walked over to talk to us "Link and I are gonna do some practice matches do y'all want to join?"

Pikachu quickly looked up "Looks like Pikachu is interested." Said Samus "I'll go too" she said

"I can join too," I said

And we all went over to the training room. We told Link about how we trained last time and we all agreed to do it again

The second the game started it was chaos thunder jolts, arrows, lasers, bombs, fire bolts, charge shots, they were everywhere. I absorbed and swung back at anything I could. Fox reflected almost everything that came his way and Link shielded most things that came his way.

Samus and Pikachu weren't as lucky though most stuff that went their way they just took so they started at a pretty big disadvantage. After the match calmed down Link quickly went for Fox I somehow knew they'd go for each other. Pikachu ran towards me I guess I should've expected that too, as he got closer I jumped to avoid him and as he ran behind me he tried jumping to my height. So I tried doing a hard kick behind me. Somehow that was enough to get him to the blast zone. Then Samus tried to start fighting but tried keeping her distance by using charge shots. Once I absorbed a few she tried to rush in. I tried to shield but she grabbed me and threw me forward while shooting another charged shot and I had no chance to avoid it. As I got back up I saw Link behind Samus do three strong sword swings and Samus was sent to the blast zone. Link gave me a quick smile and put his attention back on Fox who had seemed to just get back on stage

I stayed back as they started fighting until I saw Fox kick at Link's bubble shield breaking it as I saw Fox charge another kick I jumped closer and sent a PK Fire to Fox stopping his kick. Link snapped out of his confusion and swung his sword at Fox to send him to the blast zone. Link turned to look at me "Thank me later" I said. He nodded and grabbed a bomb and threw it at me and I got ready to swing my bat but mistimed the swing and it blew up as it hit me and ran at me with a slash of his sword. Then he grabbed me with his hookshot and kicked me behind him. I quickly got up and put up a shield to block a sword swing and did a kick to push him back and a PK Fire. Once I saw he got stuck in it I turned around and jumped backward with the same kick I gave Pikachu and just like Pikachu it sent him to the blast zone.

"Nice Job, Ness" Fox said

"Thanks" I responded while Link came back

"Good luck on the finals." Fox said "Yeah! I'll root for you too" Link said

As I looked over to Samus I saw Pikachu was upset "Hey, I'll be on your side Pikachu" Samus said

"Well we should probably go sleep so we don't stay up too late again," Samus said

We all said goodbye and went to our rooms.

But as I got into my Pijamas I felt like I had forgotten something

And suddenly I remembered. I went to sit on my bed and started to focus.

"Hi it's Ness, I got your message. Thanks for the support. I hope we meet someday too"

After I was sure it sent I went to sleep

{AN: Yeah, I know its been a while and introducing Lucas then taking a break was messed up. I apologize I'll try harder to keep this consistent but I'm human (sadly)}
