Quick Training Session

Ness's P.O.V

"PK Fire!" I yelled trying to create a small inferno. Except nothing happened "Aw Cmon! I thought I had it"

Paula had tried to teach me some things after I told her I was invited. Poo even taught me PK magnet which was a lot easier to pick up than PK Thunder and PK Fire since I couldn't reliably use them yet. Which was especially a problem with PK Thunder since I needed it to recover.

"PK Fire!" I then saw a Firebolt go towards the punching bag and engulf it in a flame. I stared in awe thinking about how happy Paula would be to see how good I've gotten at that. Then I thought about me showing it to the rest of my friends and how they'd react, and then I realized, I missed my friends. Jeez, it hadn't even been 24 hours and I was already getting homesick.

"Ness?" I looked up to see Samus in her armor which caught me off guard. "Are you alright?" she said taking off her helmet "Yeah just thinking" I answered back. "Okay then, have you seen Fox? We were supposed to meet up for training" "No I don't think he's here yet" I responded. "Well want to train with me while I wait for him?" "Uh, I don't know if I'm ready for a match" "Cmon, I saw you set that punching bag on fire, I think you'll do fine" "Alright I guess"

"Ready?" Samus asked "As much as I can be" I said, "Alright then let's start" She said putting on her helmet. I immediately tried to hit her with a PK Fire but I had missed and she then shot some sort of ball of energy. Out of desperation, I grabbed my bat and swung it at the energy ball she shot hoping my bat would take the hit instead of me, I knew it would ruin my bat but it was better than nothing plus I knew I'd break some bats so I brought multiple even if it was hell to carry. Then instead of the bat taking the hit, it reflected it and went back to hit Samus.

'What'd you do to that bat?!" I heard her ask as she got up from the shot "Nothing I swear" I responded. "Then why'd it do that?" "I don't know it doesn't usually do that". Once she got back up and got ready to fight again I went for another PK Fire making sure I wouldn't miss. while she was stuck in the fire I got closer and did an around the world with my yoyo to hit her and she was launched far upwards but fell back soon after

After she got up she then rammed into me, shoulder first and I was kicked back. As I got back up she shot at me another time, this time I wasn't able to get my bat out fast enough and was launched off stage. I tried to use my double jump to get back but quickly realized it wasn't enough. "PK Thunder!" I yelled getting ready to hit myself with it, except I realized I was still falling quickly. I opened my eyes only to realize it didn't work and I was quickly falling to my doom. 

After my knockout, I was quickly teleported back to the stage. "Ness are you alright? What happened?" Samus asked, "I'm fine sometimes I just mess up on summoning PK Thunder". "Wow, If Ness recovered back to the stage you would've lost Samus" We both look over to see Fox standing there.

"What took you so long?" Samus asked "Just took a scenic route" "In a mansion?" I said confused "A scenic mansion" He added. "But what route I took is beside the point. You two still up to train?" "I am," Samus said "Actually I think I'm gonna rest," I said "The tournament is tomorrow after all" "All right see you tomorrow then," Samus said "see ya then," I said walking out of the training room and to my own room
