"Trust me."
Darling, I'm trying.
I'm fighting my mind,
With the thoughts that you don't care.
That you're only with me out of pity,
Or to write my name on a list of broken hearts
Carried around in your pocket.I'm arguing with myself,
They won't hurt me, I say.
Yes, but they might.
And if they do, it's my fault.
I opened up.I trust you with my life,
But not with my past.
You hold my future in the palm of your hand,
But if I tell you my past,
Will it slip through your fingers like sand? Will you realise you can't deal with my issues,
Or will you place the sand in a jar,
And hold it wherever you go?I trust you with my future.
My past means nothing.
It really is irrelevant,
Because I love you so much I keep forgetting
How much I hate myself.
And that in itself, is a miracle."Riley"
