Dear beloved reader,
Through my shades books, you have seen me at my weakest. You have seen me more raw than anyone ever has in real life, not even those I hold most dear.
But here is where my second and final book in the shades series will draw to a close. There will, no doubt, be more poetry (and an upcoming novel!) on my page, but shades has seen me through my darkest days, and rereading my little duo hurts me every time.
I began writing shades of the mind when I was thirteen, and I had a lot to say and horrid language skills to write it with. Gradually, my poetry got better, I learned how to actually make people relate to what I was writing, even if they've never gone through it personally.
And thus, shades of the heart was born. The first book was intended to focus more on the mental issues and conscious decisions that I had and made at the time, while the second was meant to be focusing more on feelings, but they overlapped so much that it all ended up being a giant mixing pot of emotion. There was going to be a third book in the series before I finished it off, shades of the soul, but after a while, the series became something that often made my heart heavy when I thought about it.
There's too much pain in these books from over the past three years of writing them for me to continue. My next poetry series will be more "nice things" oriented, with the first title in my head as something along the lines of sunflowers and ocean waves. I'm trying my hand at positivity for once. I will probably make a slightly mental health themed poetry series, as poetry is forever my outlet, but I'm not entirely certain of what I will do yet.
The one thing that I am certain of, however, is that this series has outlived its end date, and it is due time I finished it.However!! Don't be sad! Here's a little list of what you can expect from me in the future-
~Sunflowers and ocean waves (Poetry Series!!)
~A novel that I have been working on but I have no clue WHAT TO CALL IT
~a series similar to shades but less intenseSo I'm most certainly not hanging up my hat. God, I could never. I love writing too much to let it go.
Signing out for the last time in this book-

PuisiThis is my second poem book. The first one started off with really bad poems but got gradually better, but by then people hated my poems and deleted the book from their library, lol. The first book is called shades of the mind.
