Michael and I talked for a few more minutes, but never strayed back to the original topic. Eventually, Ashton came back from the bathroom, and we started an episode of Friends.
"What did you two talk about?" Ashton asked me when Michael went to the kitchen to get some chips.
I shrugged. "Just what happened."
"And...?"
"We hooked up."
"I know that," Ashton groaned. "Was I right? Was it kinky?"
I chuckled, making sure not to let the smile spread to my cheeks. "Yeah, it was."
Ashton grinned, dimples coming into view. "I knew it."
"We all did. I'm pretty sure the green hair is like a sign that says 'Hey, girls, I’m up for a kinky night. What about you?’."
Ashton laughed and put his hand on my knee casually.
I looked at him, my face completely straight.
"I want to see you smile." He said randomly.
"You've seen me smile."
"Not really. I've seen you fake a smile. I've barely even heard you laugh."
I shrugged. "I don't like smiling."
"Why not? Smiling's fun!"
"I just don't like it."
Ashton got a wicked gleam in his eye and raised his hands in the air, fingers wiggling.
"Oh God, no." I muttered. "Don't you dare."
"Too late."
