Calum was no help. He sat in my room, taking selfies on my phone while I stressed over what to wear.

I eventually chose out something casual - a sweatshirt and some skinny jeans, stuffing my abnormally large feet into Converse. I thought about wearing makeup and maybe making my cheeks look less like chipmunk cheeks, but then Calum rattled off a text message from Ashton, saying he was outside.

"Shit," I murmured, taking my phone from Calum and stuffing it in my pocket. "Cal, do I look okay?"

"You look really nice, Jade. Don't be nervous. Ashton's just an average lad and he likes you so much that he won't care how tonight goes."

I blushed. "Thanks, Calum."

"Now hurry your ass up before Ashton accuses me of kissing you."

I rolled my eyes. "Okay, I'm going."

The second I stepped outside into the cold night air, I was thankful that I had worn a sweatshirt. Ashton stood on the porch, dressed in his usual black skinny jeans with a Greenday t shirt and a leather jacket. He looked damn good and I mostly didn't want to go on a date. I just wanted to sit on the couch and make out with him.

"You look gorgeous, as always." Ash charmed, opening the car door for me.

I giggled as I strode past him and settled into the passenger seat.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"That's a surprise," Ashton said.

"You're so fucking cheesy!" I chuckled, slapping his head. "Just tell me where we're going!"

"No." Ashton remained firm in his position.

Pouting, I crossed my arms and stared at the road ahead.

"I promise you'll like it, okay?"
