Harvey pov

Emma just called me up with the message her mother passed away. She knew it wouldn't last that long anymore, but I didn't expect it to be so fast. When we ended the call, I just grabbed my car keys and I was about to go away.

"Where are you going?" my mom asked.

"I go and pick up a friend, it's urgent," I said.

"Okay, be carefull, sweety," she said.

"You too, mom," I said. I saw confusing in her eyes.
"I'll bring her here," I added.

"What happened then? You're making me worried."

"She lost her mother," I said looking down.

"Why are you still here? Go!" she said shocked. I smiled at her respons. She is the best mother I could wish for. I ran to my car and started driving aq fast as I could.

After a 10 minute drive, I arrived at her house. Well, her grandparents' house. I rang the bell and an older lady opened the door.

"Hello," she said.

"Good afternoon, is Emma here?" I asked as polite I could. I heard someone stumble from the stairs.

"Carefull," I said as I didn't want her to fall from the stairs. She didn't say anything. She just ran into my arms and hugged me. I wrapped my arms around her, I didn't even care that her grandmother was looking. I could tell Emma was crying, because I felt my shirt getting wet.

"When will you drop her off again?" the lady asked.

"Around 8pm?" I asked.

"Okay, 8pm. Not later," she said. I nodded and lead Emma to my car.

I started the car and drove to my house.  I got annoyed of all the trafic. We didn't talk during the ride. I was afraid that I might say something stupid, but I was stupid by saying nothing.

We arrived at my house and befor I could stop the car, sbe burst out  in tears.  My heart broke at the sight. I quickly got out and rushed to her. I opened her door and she fell in my arms. My shirt was soaked with her tears, but I couldn't care less. The most important thing now is that she feels better.

I lead her into my house and we were greeted by my mother. She ran to is and took Emma in her arms.

"I'm so sorry, sweety," she said with a voice full of concern.

Emma didn't say anything, but I could see the greatfullness in her eyes.

"You want something to drink?" mom asked her.

"Some water, please," she responed. Her voice sounded so breakable. My mom went to the kitchen and Emma and I sat in the couch, her head rested on my shoulder. She looked so tired and broken.

My mom brought the glass of water and sat in the couch in front of us.

"I just want to say, Emma, that you are a wonderfull girl and you are always welcome here. I know this will be a though time, but I know you are strong, you will get through this. I believe in you," mom said. I couldn't be more greatfull for her words. I had no idea how Emma is feeling and everytime I try to imagine, I get afraid. This is horrible for her. I will be there for her, no matter  what.
