Emma pov
We walked into the room and we sat at the first row. I saw her coffin and it was so hard to look at it. There was a huge screen in front of us with a picture of my mom. She looked good, happy, better than I had ever seen which made even more sad. She didn't need Jack and me to be happy. A silent tear fell.
"Are you okay?" Harvey wispered in my ear.
I nodded, knowing that when I would say a word my voice would break. He put his arms around my shoulders and held my hand with his free hand. I laid my head on his shoulder and kept on staring at the picture, until the man in the black suit spoke.
"We are here gatheres today to say our final goodbyes to Virginia Smith. She left us too early. She was loved," he spoke.
I listened to what he said, while my gaze was still on the screen. Tears were now slipping non-stop. Harveys hand were going up and down on my arm, trying to make me stay calm and just to let me know he was there.
The man stopped talking and music started playing. The picture on the screen changed into a picture of me and my stephbrother. That was the moment I completely broke down.
My mom that had just passed away and my stephbrother who committed suicide last year. They were smiling. Looking happy. I couldn't take this and hold on Harvey harder, I felt his grip getting stronger as he noticed me breaking. By now, his shirt was wet of my tears.
After some more pictures and the end of the song, the man continued talking and I just listened and cried. After 30 minutes more of talking and pictures and songs, while I cried, the funeral was done.
The man asked us to out a leaf of a rose on the coffin and say goodbye. I did, I was the first who did.
After I did I immediatly ran outside and started crying like I've never done before. It was raining heavily and within a moment I was soaked. My breath got heavier and I didn't get any air anymore. My sight was getting blurry and I panicked. Then out of nowhere, I felt to lips on mine.
