Emma pov
The car ride was silent. Music was softly playing and I was looking outside. I was concentrated on the rain that was now pouring down. The weather suited perfectly with my mood. It was like the sky was crying, along with that, a tear slid down my cheek.
"You're strong," Harvey said.
"Why do I feel weak than?" I asked him.
"Because this is a heartbreaking thing. You would be weak if you hide your tears. You show them you're vulnerable. You show them you," he said looking at me and the traffic. "I wouldn't be here if you didn't show how you felt two weeks ago, I would never have heard you crying, but I heard you and I came. And I knew the moment that I saw you that you have a whole lifestory. And I was right, I regret nothing, I'm happy I came."
I looked down. Those words are what I need. I know I can trust him. He would do everything for me. He stopped the car as we were at my uncles house and he pulled me in for a hug. We stayed like that for a while.
"I guess we have to go inside," he said. I nodded. We stepped out of the car and ran to the frontdoor. I ran the bell and my uncle opened the door. He pulled me into a hug.
"It's been a long time," he spoke. I nodded.
"I think 5 years," I said softly.
He let go of me and I immediately felt Harveys hand in mine and I felt safe."This is Harvey," I said to my uncle.
"Your boyfriend?" he asked.
"No," I said smiling softly and thinking about how it would be to as his girlfriend.
"Nice to meet you, sir," Harvey said.
"Oh please, call me Peter," my uncle said.
We sat in the couch waiting for the rest of my family to arrive, in the meantime we were talking about everything that happened.
Harvey didn't say a lot, but knowing that he sat right next to me, made it more bearable.
30 minutes later
Everybody had now arrived and we went to the cars. I sat in a car with my uncle, my cousin and Harvey. He held my hand the whole ride and I rested my head on his shoulder.
We arrived at the place where the funeral would take place. While the car rode up the parking, I could see my moms best friend and son. All the memories flooded back. When I still lived with mom, we were there a lot and her son was my best friend. We did everything together. I couldn't help it and started crying again.
