Emma pov

A couple days later

Today will be though. It's the funeral. I've been to two funerals before and with both, the only thing I could do was crying. This time it will be worse. I was awake at 7am. I couldn't sleep any longer. I looked over at my phone, sqeezing my eyes as the light of it was too strong. I saw I had a message of Harvey.

Harv🥰: Good morning sweetheart, know that I'm thinking of you today, it won't be easy, but you're a strong person and you'll get through it.❤

Em😊❤: Thank you so much, but I'm sk scared for what will happen, I don't know if I can do it❤

And to my surprise he responded a minute after I sent it.

Harv🥰: You can do it and if you want I will come with you❤

I looked in shock at the message he sent me. I didn't think he would do that for me, we don't even know each other for two weeks, a funeral is something so sad and though. But I mean, if he wants to. So I decided to call him.

H: Good morning, beautiful.
E: Hey.
H: How are you doing?
E: Currently fine, just scared.
H: You know I was serious when I said I would come to you if you want me to. To give you the support you need.
E: That's why I called. Would you really do that?
H: I would do everything for you.
E: But a funeral is not exactly something, eumm, normal.
H: If you don't want it, I won't come, sweetie.
E: No, I mean, I want you to come, but I want to be sure it's not a problem for you.
H: It is no problem. What time do you want me to pick you up?
E: 9am? We have to go to my family first.
H: I will be there.
E: Thank you.
H: Everything for you.

I smiled at myself as the conversation ended. I have no idea what I did to deserve him.

I took my phone and went to the bathroom. I pressed play and Harvey's playlist started playing. I let the water from the shower stream down and I calmed down completly. I sang with the words softly.

Why'd you leave
Why'd you go
When you leave
Where'd you go

I hopped out of the shower and put on some clothes. It wasn't really a party and it will be though, so I decided that comfy clothes will be the best.

I put on a black skinny jeans with a black hoody. I was ready at 8.45am and decided to just watch some youtube video's.

15 minutes later the doorbell rang. I yelled a goodbye to my grandparents and grabbed my bag. Harvey was dressed equaly as me, black jeans with a black hoody.

"Hey, sweety," he said smiling. The nicknames he gives me make my heart go wild and his smile lights up my mood.

"Hey," I said back, smiling slightly.

"Are you ready for today?" he asked.

"Can you ever be ready for a goodbye?" I asked.

"Okay, stupid question," he answered and I looked down.

"You know I'm here for you, you won't go through this on your own," he added.

I smiled and wrapped my arms around his shoulder. He answered my hug and we stood there like that for a little while. All the nerves that were rushing through my body dissapeared. All I could think about for that moment was him.

"I think I'm ready," I said.

"Than we'll go." And with those words we started driving to my uncles house.
