After two fucking months, I finally saw her again. She looked so happy casually laughing with her friends while I've been drowning my sorrows in alcohol and different girls every night.
I pulled my hoodie down, entering the small coffee shop. The aroma of coffee filled my nostrils and it slightly woke me up. The place was nearly empty, just an old couple in a corner plus a girl reading a book with a mug of coffee on her table.
When I thought things could't go any worse, it just had to. Alexa and her friends were infront of the shop window and one of them recognized me and was pointing. I didn't want them to see me this lonely and so my instincts thought of the best thing to do.
I pulled up the girl from her chair, making her drop her book and quickly kissed her.
"What do you think your doing?" she said, trying to get out of my grip.
"My ex-girlfriend is outside, just play along." I whispered.
"Oh okay." and then she started kissing me back.
In the corner of my eye, I caught a glimpse of Alexa. She seemed shocked and so did her friends. I'm not that sure with what I was seeing but it seemed like she was tearing up. Finally the random girl pulled away.
"You naughty kids! Get out! This is no place to make out!" the shop owner angrily shouted. She quickly grabbed her book and dragged me out of the cafe, since the owner didn't like our little scene.
"Man that was close!" we did a fist bump and just then I realized she looked beautiful and started laughing.
A cough broke our stares and there was Alexa.
Okay Luke, better man up! You're over her! And you have mystery girl beside you! She'll play along! my subconscious told me.
"Oh hey Alexa! Maddy and Lily! Nice to see you guys!" I politely greeted them, okay maybe slightly fake.
"What's up Luke? It's been a while." Alexa said and I just nod, the other two girls were glaring at mystery girl beside me and so I introduced her.
"Oh you haven't meet my girlfriend!" I pulled her closer, my arm resting on her shoulder. "This is my girlfriend.." I looked at her and she looked at me dumbfounded.
"Say your name." I whispered in her ear, making it seem like a cute gesture.
"Jane. I'm Luke's girlfriend." she spoke up.
"Well it's nice to see you all! But it's getting late. I need to get Jane home!" I grabbed her hand and quickly ran away.
"You have some explaining to do." Jane whispered.
