CHAPTER 13

"I THOUGHT WE were about to go home," I chided him as he placed me down and pulled me inside the mall.

Let's take a look. And oh, let's take out Chinese food tonight. Sounds good?"

"Ang dami-dami mo nang damit. At saka, ayaw mo bang magluto?"

He faced me and said, "Kapag nagluto pa ako, hindi natin maaasikaso iyang pisngi mo."

The store's name is Pastel Castle and literally every clothing and apparel you see seemed like they're fabricated straight from unicorn puke.

"I want to dress you up some more, come on," he pouted and he sounded almost as if he was about to cry because he couldn't convince me to let him shop for clothes. I don't get him but he's damn cute right now.

He made himself clear when he stretched his legs on the floor like a five-year-old. I had no idea how he managed to heat up my cheeks just like that but he did or maybe it's just because I am getting aware of the crowd attention we are getting. Girls were looking at him and were constantly giggling. I even caught one group of teenagers that could have been snapping photos or worse, Tiktok videos of us.

Napabuntong hininga tuloy ako at saka pumikit.

"Fine."

I immediately caught him grinning widely and in just about a split second he sprung up and was already taking me inside the store.

He pushed me down the cubed couch and began to wind through the files of garments, expertly pulling this and that and tossing these and that to the fluffy pink basket, ignoring flabbergasted female customers who began watching him as he enthusiastically scanned the clothes.

He isn't even wearing flashy clothes.

He isn't even trying yet he catches everyone's attention.

Now that I look at him from this distance, I think he was indeed less femme than how I see him. Minutes later, he came back with approximately five shopping bags that were about to explode.

"You're so impossible," I commented as we walked up to the Chinese restaurant.

He was smiling all the way home and can you guess what? He didn't even mind about my insults about his addiction to candy colors.

We took the jeepney on our way to the tower and he was really acting so giddy about the stuffs he bought.
