CHAPTER 33

HIS LIPS KNEW what they want.

With nothing but my wits to cling on, I closed my eyes trying to absorb every bit of heat that his body was transferring to me. I never knew how a person could melt but the way his lips locked on mine without hesitation and resistance, I would not even get up if the room was caught on fire.

The kiss was something authentic from him. I have always felt how firm he presses the kiss in a deep and senseless way every time but I had no idea that it would feel much better the more that we share.

When he pulled away, I was breathless and he was lazily watching me catch my breath.

"Look how vulnerable you are."

"I-I'm not!"

He then grabbed my face again and placed a firm, quick smack on my lips.

"You are."

"Stop it!"

For another time, he held my cheeks and claimed my lips, this time moving in with such ferocity.

"Your heartbeat does not lie."

"You are sexually harassing me!"

"No. You are biting your lips," he whispered from above me and even before he could lean in again, I averted my face.

"Masaya ka bang lagi mong ipinamumukha sa aking mahina ako kumpara sa iyo?"

"Hindi. Pero gustong-gusto kong sinusuway mo ako."

Nilunok ko ang lawak na naipon sa aking lalamunan.

"Paano na tayo makakauwi ngayon?" I asked in defeat.

Knight seems to feel the shift of my emotions and decided to roll beside me and held my hand.

"We'll spend the night here."

"Because of the storm, yeah."

"No."

"No?"

"No."

"Anong balak mo?" biglaan kong itinanong sa kanya nang may kaba.

"Chill, Ren. Hindi kita gagahasain. I'm not that desperate."

My subconscious arched her brow though, and said, "Oh, really?"

"Then why?"

"We're going to Lolo G."

Nagpakawala ako ng malalim na hininga.

"Speaking of which, hindi nagulat si Tyrone nang itanong mo sa kanya ang kinalalagyan ng lolo ko."

"He's smarter than that."

"Nasaan ang lolo ko kung ganoon?"

"He's in Boystown."

"IS THERE REALLY a prince in Japan?"

Malalim na rin ang gabi at dahil sa nangyari, wala akong ibang dala samantalang si Knight naman ay ang kanyang cellphone lamang at walang charger ang nabitbit. Nakaparada raw ang kanyang kotse sa dating pwesto nang huli kaming makapunta rito at maging doon ay walang lamang pagkain, maski biskwit.

Knight scoffed and said, "There were a lot of royal families in Japan who do not actually have power. They were just established families from historical resemblances. It does not matter whether they use the title nowadays because they do not hold any governing power."

"Sinasabi mo bang mayabang lang talaga ang lalaking iyon?"

"Can be. But what he claims to be who he was is not purely fictional."
