Ray hung back. She waited outside. She wasn't easy to see him yet. She was scared.

Inside the small room, Steve stared at Bucky. "Do you remember me?"

Bucky groaned. His head was spinning from hitting it so hard. His metal arm was clamped between pieces of metal. He could move it if he tried. Easily.

"Your moms name was Sarah." His voice was deep. Full of pain. But then he laughed. "You wore newspapers in your shoes."

"You can't read that in a museum."

"So we're supposed to believe him? Just like that?"

"Where's Ray? She was with us, when we went over?" Bucky looked up at Steve, but the Captain remained silent. "What is it? What happened?"

Sam leaned over to Steve. "Maybe we should give them a minute."

Steve nodded and the two friends walked out the old door. Ray was standing there quietly, chewing on her nails. "He's Bucky. Take a minute. We'll be outside." Steve told her.

She nodded and watched them walk out the doors and into the yard outside. Ray then sighed and pressed her hand against her throat.

Bucky was looking at the floor, fearing the worst, when Ray turned the corner. He immediately looked up and met her eyes.

"Oh, thank God." Bucky breathed out unevenly.

Ray didn't say anything. It was a first for her in a while. She felt like she didn't know this man in front of her. Like it wasn't the same one who had spent the last two years with her. The one that told her he wanted to marry her only a few days ago.

"Ray." He didn't know what else to say. She pushed herself forward slowly; taking small steps towards him. He noticed how afraid she looked and it utterly destroyed him. "Doll."

At his words she cracked; she couldn't help but to cry. She was scared and nearly died. She most likely had a concussion and the bruises on her neck wouldn't fade for a while.

"I did that. Didn't I?" Bucky was looking at her neck. He didn't have to ask, he remembered. Her remembered the look in her face.

"You did a lot of things." She told him honestly.

"I am so sorry." He wouldn't meet her eyes.
