Scarlett
I get up at sunrise to start setting up a place to train. I turn to my right to see Vivian on the other side of the tent fast asleep. Her hair looks like she tossed and turned all night. She is wearing the same clothes she was last night which is a pair of blue jeans and a plain blacktop. I smile a little wondering if the color scheme is ever going to change.

"Scar, come in. Scar." The walkie talkie sounds in the corner breaking my train of thought. I know they have no clue I have it at the moment, but I knew it wouldn't be important unless Mike survived. He got separated from me on the night of the party. He was supposed to show up later that night and he probably did, but I got distracted so to speak.

I knew he'd show up some time or another. He is a really good fighter; however, he's sloppy with his killing so there is no telling if or when he'll get caught. "What's up?" I ask into the device. "Okay Scar, spill, we were supposed to meet the other night and you were a no show." "Yeah, sorry about that. I had to save someone from getting raped." "At the party?" He asks.

"Yeah, I know crazy right. Crazy little Scar saving someone." I say in an annoyed tone. "Scar," He starts, "you know as well as I do that you don't care about other people or doing the right thing, so why did you do it. Is she pretty?" I blush a little at the question. "Mike! You know I don't care about relationships!" I say in a raised voice.

"True but you got defensive so I'm right." I sigh in defeat at his comment. "Fine, I think she's cute, but that's not important." "What is then?" He questions. "I recruited her and her family to help us, so now we gotta train them to fight." "Must be cuter than I thought." He teases. "Just meet us at the old clearing. Okay?" "Sure. You should know something before I go tho."

"What is it?" I ask while rolling my eyes. "The family who threw the party we were at well they're dead." "Umm, what happened?" I ask in a confused tone. "The youngest daughter was supposed to be taken away this weekend for being you know like us, but she snapped sometime after the party last night killed her family and then left." "Mike get to the clearing asap!" "Okay, I'll be there. Over and out."

I put the walkie-talkie away before finally making my way out into the clearing where the tents are set up to put out what's left of the fire. I let my eyes gaze over the surrounding area to determine if this is a good place to train Vivian and her family. On the opposite side of the clearing I notice that the trees are far enough back, but still kind of close which makes it perfect to train.

After everyone is up and about we make breakfast which is some gravy powder that you mix with water and some canned tuna. It wasn't the best meal, but I figured the fish would go bad soon and the gravy was easy to make. Once breakfast was over I led everyone over to the left side of the clearing away from the tents.

"Okay, everyone we are going to train until sundown or until my friend shows up." "What friend?" Viv question. "My friend, Mike, I didn't tell you guys about him because I didn't know if he would get caught by officers or not." "That still would have been nice to know." Lily states. "I know, but it's in the past now so let's just move on." "Fine," Viv says annoyed.

I spar one on one with each member of the family until Mike shows up around sunset. I introduce Mike to everyone before making my way over to the remains of the fire I put out earlier to start a new one. Once the fire is started I set up everything to cook a can of beans and some rice. "Okay," I start as I hold the pan of food over the fire, "so Mike this is the family who threw the party we went to."

As soon as I finished my sentence Mike's jaw dropped. "That's impossible Scar! That family is dead! I saw the bodies taken out of the house myself!" "What?" Viv says in surprise. "We are most certainly not dead!" Viv's mom yells. "I know." I interject, "Mike, who did they say killed the family?" "They said the youngest daughter did. They said she was a blood killer who they were supposed to pick up at the end of the week."

Vivian pales almost instantly at this. "So they are setting me up?" "It would appear so. We should stay on high alert for everyone, even civilians at this point." I instruct. Everyone nods at this before taking some of the beans and rice which just finished cooking.

I let everyone know that we are going to leave for the next stop in the morning before dismissing them. I watch Vivian walk back to her tent taking in the view I have of her ass. I realize what I'm doing and turn away blushing. I hear Mike chuckle behind me.

"You have it bad for her don't you." He said it as more of a statement than a question. "I-I have no clue what you're talking about." "Did you just stutter?" I blush at the realization. "This is great Scarlett the blood killer is in love with someone." "Keep your voice down!" I whisper yell, "She doesn't need to know how I feel, and you are not telling her to get it!"

Mike put his hands up beside his head to show me he surrendered. "I won't." "Good. Now let's set up your stupid tent." I say as I walk over to his backpack. He sighs out an okay before following me.
