♪Chapter 20 ♪

I heard a door close behind me, with hesitation I turned and saw Kayla. Her blonde hair bouncing around her shoulder.

"Lauren, where have you been?" She spotted my spider bites and staired at me, mouth gaping open. "What is on your face?"

"Peircings. And if you need to know I was out with Luke." Kayla's face went from ghostly pail to tommato red in just seconds.

"I told you to stay away from Luke. Lauren you don't know what you're getting yourself into." She reached up to grab my wrist but I turned away shaking and tears falling down my face.

I took a shaky breathe trying to even it out, "Maybe you don't know what you're getting yourself into, Kayla." I stormed off and ran home.

I opened my patio doors that go into my room and fell to the ground. I just snapped at my best friend, she was trying to warn me; but she couldn't warn me about Luke. He's the only thing that keeps me sane.

"Lauren? Are you here?" My dad started up the stairs and I jumped into my bed covering my face with my covers. The door creaked open and I heard the clip clapping of my dad's shoes. He walked over to my bedside and sat at the edge, tighting the covers bundled up over my body. My heart thumping against my rib-cage giving me the feeling that it was crawling up my throat. My dad bent over and leaned over and kissed the back of my head. He got up and stalked out of my room.

I shifted in my bed and let out a sigh of releif trying to even out my breathe. I heard the a door close with two voices,one my dad and the other a female; maybe about mid-20s to early thirties perfect for my dad. I gave a small smile and felt my eyelids droop,I finally went to sleep pleased with myself.

I looked around my room with big yellow, black, white, and red sploches dancing in my vision. I rubbed the extra sleep out of my eyes and got ready for school. I picked out black skinny jeans with cuts going around the front, a Secondhand Serenade t-shirt, galaxy Vans, and a black slouch beanie. I looked at my calender and smiled, today was the day of Luke's party with his friends.

I krept out of my room and went donstairs grabbing an energy bar. I slid that into my backpack and quietly left my house. my dad wasn't up yet so i had nothing to worry about. Walking down the street with nobody except myself making me feel like nobody with no history of any good feelings. I looked down at my wrist and saw the red scars now forming a pattern, giving me a horriable feeling in my throat.

I walked into the school searching for Luke, tons of students flooding the corriders, classrooms, and other halls. I looked for Luke's blonde puffed up hair and glittering lip peircing. I spun around and spotted him standing with Micheal, Ashton, and Calum talking and laughing. I krept over there trying to stay out of their sight range. Micheal spotted me and hekd my fingers up to my lips saying Don't say anything. He nodded his head and smirked, i got behind Luke and through my hands over his eyes.

"Guess who?" i said with a different voice. The other guys laughed and smirkd with Luke trying to shake me off of him.

"Mom? No, Kayla."

i giggled and laughed, "Nope, guess again."

"Lauren, come here." He pulled my hands away and twirled me around so that i would face him. I wrapped him in a hug and he pulled me in tight. He pressed our lips together and held me tight. I grinned against his lips and pulled away looking at the others, each one of them laughing and pulling out their phones. "Put them away lads." Luke said.

I laughed and pulled him towards our first period class.
