After we arrived back to the castle, I was escorted to the throne room to meet with my father. I could only imagine that it had something to do with the guy that was wanting to come courting...my father thought it would be a great idea for me and the neighboring king's son to marry each other but I had fallen for someone that was living in this kingdom but I decided to keep it to myself since my father planned on meeting with them later today and I would have to be there after they arrived and settled in for the night, little did I know that night would go horribly wrong once the very person my father arranged for me to marry would listen to a conversation that I had with Dante... I knew my father would be furious once he found out that I was alone with him since my hand was promised to another but I needed to hear the opinion of a friend.

Dante: I think you should follow your heart princess. Every decision is going to have a negative affect sooner or later so you might as well face it as soon as it happens.

Athena: I just hate the idea of being forced to marry someone that I  know nothing about.

Dante: I see your point but your father only wants to see you happy and who knows you may learn to love the guy that your father has set up to marry you.

Athena: what if I love someone else that my dad doesn't approve of?

Dante: you should sit down and talk about it with your father before your wedding day.

I knew Dante was right but I had six months before the wedding would take place and I was scared of how my father would react to me loving someone other than who he had in mind to marry me.
