Inside the box was my old outfit. Everyone's outfit is a huge deal to them, and if they were to wear something else that wasn't a special made replacement, then they couldn't carry out their proper function. If you're like me, which no one else that I'm aware of has done this, then when you put on your outfit, you become your old personality.
The outfit looks quite similar to my current one, except the white is black like my brother's outfit. On the bottom of the box, I saw my cape, that was a deep shade of red. It went down to right above my heels so it wouldn't touch the ground or I wouldn't trip on it. Then, I found my old boots. They were black with a deep shade of red and gold along the rim. The boots came up to right below the knee. Above that was the normal black shirt I wore as an undershirt. My prince jacket and pants were next. Like stated, it's black like my brothers instead of white. The "emblem thingy" as Patton would say is was entirely gold, and so was the lines on the front of the jacket, on my wrist, and on the shoulder where my sash lays. And then my sash. My sash was still red, I couldn't bare to change it. It's the only thing that was the same, along with my whole "prince" persona and the gold on my jacket. Then, laid my pair of red gloves. I absolutely adored them, it gave me a professional feel. It was the same shade as my cape. On top of all of that was my crown. It was black like the rest of my outfit, and it had red and gold jewels scattered across it.
There is something about each outfit that makes the outfit unique to them. And it practically determines your personality completely. Without it for too long, your personality will change completely, for better or worse. And mine, was my crown.
It's almost as if the object has a mind of its own. It doesn't want you to change, so when you stray away from it for more than a day, it will physically, yes physically whisper to you and tell you things to make you put it back on. However, you're the only one that can hear it.
Now you only get one item when you're created. That's why I don't have one my new outfit. I lied to the others and told them that it was my sash, and they bought it. All except Virgil of course, because he knew what it actually was. All of the dark sides plus Virge saw right through me.
I snapped out of my thoughts as I could hear someone talking to me clear as day. I looked around my room as the soft voice kept speaking. The voice was extremely muffled, as if the talking was coming from another room, but it was so loud! There is no way it could be coming from anywhere else!
When I saw no one in my room, I looked back to the box. My face fell as I started to make out what the voice was saying to me.
With shaking hands I picked up my crown to examine it closer. It was quite obvious now that the voice was coming from the dark metal that was barely staying within my grip. The more I held it, the louder the voice got. It eventually got so loud that I dropped the crown back into the box and slammed the lid back on.
I swiftly stood up and kicked the box so it slid across my room and slammed against my closet door. The voices did not subside in the slightest, and it was so loud and unnerving that it caused me to stumble into my desk.
I accidentally knocked the chair over while trying to stay on my own two feet. When I went do pick it up, the voice got even more shrilly which caused me to bring my hands to my ears to try to block it all out. Any attempt to try to save my ears didn't even slightly work.
It ended as soon as it started. The silence would be deafening if there wasn't a loud ringing in my ears. Wait, is it quiet or did i actually go deaf?
I let go of a breath that I didn't realize I was holding. I found myself sitting against my wall beside my desk with my knees brought up to my chest, despite not remembering when I got on the floor. I opened my clenched eyes and brought my hands down. My head was sore from where my hands were, and I looked down to see a quite a few stray hairs in my hands. I guess I was pulling my hair and didn't even realize it. Then a soft knock pierced the silence in my room and the ringing in my ears. I guess that answers my going deaf question.
"Roman? Are you okay in there? I heard a lot of loud noises. Can I come in?"
That voice belonged to the one a only Virgil. He most likely heard what happened in here because his room is the closest to mine.
"Y-yeah, come in!"
Curse these voice cracks! They always give away when something is clearly wrong!
He opened the door and looked around the room. He took a few steps before speaking.
"Woah man, it looks like a tornado came through here- hey are you alright?!"
